Very pleased with this device. The speed is great (~8MB/s with the SD card I got) and what I didn't realise before it arrived was that it has three different memory slots that can be used at the same time. So, three drive letters get mapped in Windows for SD, Mini SD and Micro SD.

It's not the smallest USB Device going, but it is one of the best. Able to ready all the pupular types of cards, including MicroSD WITHOUT using a converter! The device is a dream. The case opens up both sides to reveal slots for memory cards to fit in, plug yours in, close it up and then plug the unit into an spare USB port and bingo - simple as that!
Mine is connected through a 4-port unpowered USB hub (as all my USB ports are at the back on my PC and the hub gives me easy access to four more), fast read/write speeds. Vista Ultimate had no problem reading my 4GB MicroSD card from my PDA. Even when connected with my standard 8Gb usb Memory stick, the device worked like a dream copying direct from MicroSD to USB Stick.
If you want a simple, easy Memory card reader (and a portable one at that) you can do a LOT worse than get this. It is a winner in terms of price, speed, looks & fuctionality. You will NOT BE DISAPOINTED!!!

This gizmo is a real gem. I recently purchased an HD Panasonic camcorder which takes SDHC cards.
In order to transfer the video to the Mac or PC, you have to plug in the camcorder to the mains, and then attach a separate USB cable. This card reader gets rid of those extra cables and makes data transfer from the camcorder a truly mobile experience!
I couldn't recommend it enough!

After reading other reviews I opted to buy this card reader. It does just what you'd want it to do....it reads cards. My computer recognized it straight away and all works very well. A good purchase.

Out of all the portable memory card readers I own (I own quite a few) this is my favourite. I like the protection the reader provides for the cards with them fully encased under the designated flaps on either side. The eject tabs inside make for easy removal while the functionality means you can use all 3 card slots simultaneously when plugged in. The fact it can read SDHC definately boosts its rating. The only problem is it is my slowest memory card reader to load. Once it's loaded it's fine but if you are attempting to read a memory card you have to wait a good length of time from plugging it in before the additional drive letters appear on your computer. This can be extremely irritating when you know you could use another memory card reader and have instantaneous access to your data.
