At Last July 3, 2006 Scary (East Sussex. England) 47 out of 47 found this review helpful
At last a hub that works. I've bought five hubs before, some from what appear to be major suppliers of hub's, cables and sundries and I've thrown every one away. This is the first one that has run my web-cam and every other thing I plug into it. It's also the first one to give me the connection speed that the makers claim. Buy one you won't be disappointed.
does the job May 31, 2008 Andy (Oxfordshire, UK) 17 out of 17 found this review helpful
just plug it in and you are away. notes * you must separate your USB devices into fast and slow. In my case fast includes external hard drive and webcam. slow includes mouse and keyboard. Only plug fast or slow devices into your hub. if you mix them, your slow devices will slow down your fast ones. * it requires its own mains socket for power. (well it would - you can't get power for all 7 devices down the single cable that comes from your computer).
Great for Mac OS X 10.4 April 15, 2007 P. Oak (Hastings, England) 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
Got this plugged into primary USB2.0 in the back of my iMac, and it simultaneously runs USB1 for keyboard and mouse, whilst running USB2.0 for my video capture card and memory stick (not all ports at 1.1 as others claim, that might be a W**dows thing!!) Awesome hub, couldn't do without it.
excellent but beware September 21, 2006 L. simpson (london) 39 out of 42 found this review helpful
a excellent small product. please do beware even though the product works with the usb 1.1 system and the usb 2.0. if you connect the box up through a usb 1.1 port, all 7 usb slots will only run at usb 1.1.or if you have the box connected to a usb 2.0 port and have six usb 2.0 and one usb 1.1 hardwares, all seven will only run at usb 1.1. have all slots with usb 2.0 only, and watch the baby go!!!!
