Easy and Simple to use October 26, 2005 K. To (London, UK) 14 out of 14 found this review helpful
For those of you who wouldn't dream of opening up your pc, this is the answer. Although I know how to open one up i chose to buy one of these 6 months ago for 25, now its 17 so its a real bargain. Just install the drivers then add the adaptor and its ready to go. Mine came with an extention lead but im not sure about this version. After 6 months its still working at full speed with my Linksys WRT54g router. The only down side is that you MUST HAVE USB2, otherwise the speed will stay at 11mps. If u have usb1 and care about speed then stick to a pci card. Another thing, I did have problems with the WEP encryption: having to repair my wirless connection upon every boot, but this is just a little hassle. the problem was fixed when i changed to WAP encryption and now it works perfectly. I havent tried any other wireless usb product but i would certainly recommend this one.
great bargain October 16, 2005 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
I bought this product to use on a home wireless network. I am on the floor above the wireless router and I get great reception at all times, even with the door shut and people milling about on the stairs. The installation was easy and took less than 5 minutes, even on my Windows ME laptop. The extension cord that comes with is a fantastic idea as it allows you to move the adapter around even if your laptop is static. Great value, I would definately recommend it to others.
Works in Linux October 22, 2005 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I bought this to replace my Netgrear PCI NIC and it is superior in most respects. It works extremely well, maintaining a strong, continuous signal with my Netgear router. It works under Linux, using ndiswrapper and the drivers provided on the CD. I never needed to boot Windows (lucky because I can't!). This is the ver.2001uk model, and comes with a stand/extension cable that should be enough for most purposes. It even has a decent manual (English only). Given that this was the cheapest, I am very pleased with my purchase. Highly recomended.

Belkin has delivered another quality product in the market. The software created problems when i installed it but later i uninstalled the belkin software and used the drivers only for using the gadget in my system. Now im using Windows Configuration Utility in Network Connections to access the wireless network at home.It works fine.
