What an excellent product. June 18, 2008 M. Dyne (UK) 38 out of 38 found this review helpful
After browing numerous photoframes im glad I choose this product. Although it doesn't show video or play music, it displays pictures very well. The display is crisp with vivid colors and every photo of came out great. Other picture frames i've viewed in shops either don't resemble picture frames due to their enormous border and small screen, or the displayed picture quality is poor and pixilated. You dont get that with the DPFV900B. I copied numerous pictures onto a 1gb SD card and put it in the appropriate slot in the picture frame, selected the display mode, then off it went. Very simple. Some of the good options were: Display full picture or fit to width of photoframe. Calendar + time display with alternating photos on other portion of screen. Timer setting to start\stop the photoframe automatically. This product is both easy to use but contains enough configuration that its not lacking anything. It looks stylish and displays photos very well.
Expensive but worth It! July 2, 2008 Silver Surfer (England) 31 out of 31 found this review helpful
Images sharp and clear. Options for slide show, auto switch on/off, preview, clock, calendar all simple to access and work really well. I particularly like the ability to change the interval on the slide show. Accepts many card types and is easy to build an album on the internal memory. It cleverly adjusts the picture for portrait or landscape as you turn the frame - optimising the picture size. A shame that the lcd screen is 15:9 more akin to a widescreen TV rather than a camera. This means that if you have the frame in landscape mode then portrait pictures tend to be smaller than you'd wish. Cropping pictures in a photo-suite to match the screen ratio can exacibate this problem. It would also have been useful to be able to file photos in folders so as to easily select groups for viewing.
Image quality is very good July 24, 2008 M. Perry (Essex, England) 11 out of 12 found this review helpful
After buying a set of professional photographs on CD I was looking for a digital frame that would show of the images to there best. Therefore Image quality was the single most important factor in selecting a digital frame. followed by a simple and clean design. The Sony delivers both of these very well. The only two things I will look for next time are, a large size and if available rechargeable battery powered so you don't have to try and hide the power lead.
