You can drag and drop photos directly from your PC onto the digital photo frames internal memory. Being able to directly store photos on the digital photo frames memory makes this digital photo frame suitable for any brand of digital camera. The NIX digital photo frame also features a high quality backlit LCD panel and an ultra high quality image processor that will display photos up to 14 mega pixels in size and in vibrant colours. Brightness and contrast controls allow you to optimize your display. The adjustable stand allows you to alter the viewing angle of the digital photo frame to enhance your view either from a sitting position (i.e. your desk) or your living room (standing or sitting position). The frames menu is designed to be straight-forward and easy to navigate. To improve styling and ease of use, NIX have removed the need for a remote control, this also removes the need for the traditional and ugly 'plastic dot' that most other digital photo frames have to incorporate into their frames for the remote control sensor. Previously I used to have a Texet leather look digital photo frame from jessops. The Texet really didn't live up to expectations, as the frame was one of those cheap swappable hard plastic ones. And since I've been looking for a nice brown leather frame for a while to go with my other frames and general organic feel of my apartment.
I got this not knowing what to expect and I really like it. The leather frame is super nice and the lcd screen is good too. The overall build quality is high and the adjustable stand is a nice touch, as none of the other frames seem to have this simple yet obvious facility. Makes all the difference if you're sitting or standing.
Operating the nix digital photo frames functions are easy enough with just a few buttons you're able to navigate the simple menu system and view all your photos in mini-picture mode so you can skip straight to a specific photo.
It's also got an internal memory which in my opinion is a feature all frames should have. When I bought this digital photo frame I didn't take into account the fact this had an internal memory, but now I realise what a great feature it is. For starters it means I don't leave the house with my camera only to discover later on that the memory card is at home, stuck in my digital photo frame.
The digital photo frame doesn't come with a remote control, but that isn't a worry for me as I only want my frame to sit in the background displaying my photos in a slideshow. I don't have much need to keep fiddling around with the functions. Looks, quality and ease of use are paramount for me, and the NIX does all that.
Another tip is that if you're buying this as a gift for someone else, the packaging is really nice!
