Exactly what I wanted. October 9, 2008 Jo S 30 out of 30 found this review helpful
Bought this quite a while ago, but only just got round to reviewing it. Only had 100 or so slides to scan but thought they would go on a CD and make a good present for my brother. Pretty easy to install, no problems there, scanning was easy, had to fiddle around with the settings to get the best results for my slides and then it was a doddle. All saved as JPEG files and burned to a CD, my brother loved it. I assume the 5GB 'me' account must be a limited offer as I have recieved my pen drive and account already.
Excellent Slide Scanner October 24, 2008 M. J. Mann 15 out of 16 found this review helpful
Simple to use, with good associated handling and editing software. Good choice of scanning quality, producing JPEG files up to 1Mb. Takes plastic AGFA slides
Works like magic! November 17, 2008 Bookish Mum 13 out of 14 found this review helpful
I was looking for a scanner so I could put all the old photos of my late father-in-law and the grandchildren onto a digital photo frame for my mother-in-law for Christmas. I was a bit nervous after reading the previous reviews but have to say I plugged the scanner into my laptop two days ago and have had a lovely time easily and quickly converting photos. It's a doddle to use, the photos are coming out more or less exactly like the originals and I know my M-I-L is going to be absolutely thrilled, as am I. I'm going to get a lot of use (and pleasure) out of this marvellous little machine.
Great Value for the money November 15, 2008 Tech master (Hampshire) 13 out of 15 found this review helpful
Looking at the many reviews this product seems to be like Marmite, you either love it or hate it....well i can say I brought one and I love it. It's certainly one of the cheapest devices that converts old slide and negs, I found image quality more than good enough for the task I had...I think you have to bear in mind that slides are over 30 years old and when originally developed did have a tendency to over expose, therefore the scanner will just replicate the original slide, the problem is not apparent on negatives, just a small proportion of slides. Taking this into account I cannot understand the negative reviews, especially as I emailed Veho to ask about extra slide trays...they answered within 5 minutes! All in all 5 stars for price, quality and speed of scanning
Why the negatives? November 27, 2008 Ian Coghlan 9 out of 11 found this review helpful
Not intended to be a pun but I have had absolutely no problems with this item. It took minutes to install and I had run through my first set of negatives in less than half an hour. The one click button on top of the machine makes it very simple to scan a strip of negatives. Don't be put off by the negative comments (B/W or colour). ********************************************************************* One week on and I am even more delighted with this scanner. Not only have I gone through a stack of old negatives but I have also bodged it to handle instamatic negatives (126 size?).
