5 out of 5 stars User friendly!   March 13, 2007

Nice, user friendly camera. Better to download drivers from Canon uk site than to use the CD supplied (I use XP and it was a real pain). Very happy with the camera - not so happy that I have found another drain for my hard earned cash - the 18-55mm lens is very nice but I wanted a decent macro lens...you can see how it goes!

I've had some very nice results with this camera - and thats without playing with all of the "clever" bits.

If your looking for a camera that is going to keep you going for a good few years - instead of buying the next "big deal" every few months - this is, IMHO, the ticket.

5 out of 5 stars A top class camera   October 26, 2008

Although superseded by the 400/450D this is still a superb camera.

Does everything, simply, that 95% of the population could want. High powered, sophisticated and potentially complex but accessible and, in short order, easy to use.

5 out of 5 stars very manageable   November 11, 2008

As a student who has just completed an A Level Photography course, I found this camera very much to my liking. It was easy to use and takes excellent pictures that I am pleased with. This camera is especially good for sport as it captures the image straight away without any delay, thus getting the exact image you want. When in sport mode you can hold down the button and it will take multiple shots, one after another, so you are able to capture every movement of the subject involved.
When you zoom in and the picture isn't completley in focus, the camera will automatically focus it for you, giving you a clear and sharp image.
Overall I am very happy with this camera and would definetly recommend it to anyone.

Great camera but buy the 400d now, beware tho-once you start using the camera more and more you will want to buy more and more lenses. Go for IS lenses if you want to shoot wildlife or sporting events. I have a 350d and have just bought the 400d, i photograph whales and dolphins but my husband is a birdwatcher and always wants the camera to shoot birds- even tho he said he wasn't interested when i bought the 350d. Now we have both we fight over the 100-400 IS zoom lens!
