buy the genuine thing January 7, 2008 Mr. A. Joul (bradford uk) 28 out of 30 found this review helpful
I thought i would save money by buying compatible ink cartridges. My advice is dont. Had an assignement due in this morning, had to change the cartridge and ended up having to go to my brothers to print my essay. You can have problems with quality, mine printed one line in good bold print followed by poor quality the next. Have deep cleaned the printer several times. Have had this problem each time i have changed the compatible cartridge. Bad timing the night before my uni work was due in. I also agree with other comments on having to remove the chip from the original cartridge and place it on the compatible cartridge. this is very fiddley. the chip also tells the printer that the cartridge is empty, when it obviously isnt, and eventually a screen message tells you that cannon will not take any responsibility if the printer is damaged. Buy the original, get quality, save time and stress if things go wrong and you need printing to be reliable.
Just what it says on the tin! October 16, 2007 awswimmer (Somerset, England) 16 out of 17 found this review helpful
Whilst I understand that there is a problem with SOME selling "compatible" ink to look as genuine canon (or Epson etc) this si most clearly not the case here, what they said, when they said! No complaints at all, and a full set of new ink for printing on an excellent printer (Pixma IP5300)
