Product Description It doesn't get better than this. With more pixels than any other digital photo frame of this size (20% more pixels than the Sony DPFV900B 9" and the Kodak 8" Easyshare, and over four times the number of pixels on a standard 7 inch frame. The image quality of the NIX 8" Touch Sensitive Digital Photo Frame is simply the best available. The display dimensions are optimal at 4:3, because 4:3 is the standard dimension of digital photos taken by a digital camera. So unlike the Sony DPFV900B 9" or the Kodak 8" Easyshare which both have widescreen displays (16:9), on the NIX frame your photos will occupy the whole display, without your photos being cropped. The Touch Sensitive Controls are a fantastic and beautiful feature, lighting bright blue (on & off) upon your touch, and allow you to control all the frames functions. With MP3 music playback, a calendar & alarm clock this frame also makes a great bedside or desktop feature. The video feature allows you to watch videos taken on your digital camera or downloaded from the internet, and the massive 1GB internal memory provides ample memory to hold a multitude of your home movies and photos. In fact the internal memory is large enough to hold an entire downloaded feature film, which you can watch and listen to in stereo sound. The remote control allows for easy control from a distance. Whether it's sharing your family photos and videos in the living room, watching downloaded feature films in high resolution on your bedside table or listening to music at work on your desk, this frame does it all, in style and with the finest build quality.

If frames were cars, this would be a Porsche September 17, 2008 Ms. Ji Keep (Hampshire) 84 out of 87 found this review helpful
It looks good and it is good. I had a friend who is a techy, choose and buy this NIX frame for me because I had previously bought a well known "brand name" frame, but the well known "brand name" frame really annoyed me for the simple reason that screen was widescreen (16:9). Photos simply aren't in widescreen format, they're in 4:3 format, and as a result you get big black bars on each side of the screen and so spending money on a bigger 8" frame is wasted. The only high quality 8" or 9" frame available with a 4:3 screen is this NIX frame. Not only is the screen on the nix the right shape, it's also high definition. What I really like about it as well though is that it has these amazing touch sensitive controls, which are just tres cool. The entire front of the frame is completely flat and smooth. As soon as your finger comes into contact with the area where the controls are it lights up blue, and you only have to touch the lights to control the frame. After your done using the controls it fades off again automatically. But if you're just too lazy to reach out and touch the screen you can just use the remote control. It seems though that they've not held back on features either. It has a 1GB internal memory that holds thousands of photos or hours of home videos. I've got three episodes of sex in the city and a load of music on the internal memory at the moment, so I can watch and listen to them on the frame, when I'm in bed on the bedside table. I'm just really impressed with this frames features, build quality and styling. You really get the impression that from the very start of making this frame they gave it a lot of thought and think of it more than just an lcd screen with a frame. It's the difference between a ford and a Porsche.
Not only do the photo's look good but so does the frame! October 16, 2008 Mrs. S. A. Sutton (Berkshire) 30 out of 32 found this review helpful
After weeks of searching different web sites including discussion forums I settled on the Nix, why?... I wanted a frame that was easy to use (it's a gift for my parents 50th Anniversary) and that means that with an internal memory of 1GB they didn't have to muck about with additional memory cards, they can insert the card from their camera and just add to the internal memory. They don't have to use the PC if they don't want to (I have used it to give them some photos of the grandkids for when they recieve it, and it is so simple to drag and drop). The resolution is the highest you'll get for the price (as stated by previous reviews). No clear plastic in sight, many frames just look cheap - this doesn't. The slide shows choice is huge: 3sec, 5sec, 15sec, 1min, 15min, 1hr. There is a seperate folder (very easy to locate) for family videos or films - again very easy to negotiate to using either remote control or touch screen. I loved the thumbnail feature, so it's easy to locate a single photo. And last but by no means least, one of the complaints I read about so many other frames were the instruction were badly translated from Chinese to English. NOT with this frame as the manufacturer is British so the instructions are in REAL English.
Fantastic Product December 17, 2008 Zoe Clark (St. Albans) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
Bought this as a birthday present after extensive research. Had a number of wants that needed filling. 1 Easy to use 2 Able to play videos 3 Able to view landscape and portrait photos easily This fulfills all those specs and more. Literally put in the SD card and away we went. The operation is intuitive and simple and the little remote is helpful if you wish to rotate a photo from a distance. I was nearly put off purchasing by one review that said the slideshow always starts from photo number one but thankfully I ignored that and instead trusted another review which said you can select where you want to start from the thumbnails and they were right. Brilliant we're now going to get another for the in-laws who are complete techno phobes because even they can't get this one wrong
At last a digital frame that shows your photos the way they are supposed to be seen! October 11, 2008 Mr. G. Pearson (Dersingham, Norfolk) 23 out of 26 found this review helpful
I bought the Nix high res 8 inch digital photo frame after hunting around for ages looking for a frame that displayed my photos in the format that they are taken in, ie 4:3, and not stretched or cropped 16:9 images, as all the other digital photo frames on the market seem to be. I am what I consider to be a serious amateur photographer , and wanted a frame that would display my photos at their best. With its bright extremely sharp high resolution display, the nix display has blown away its nearest competitor, the 9 inch Sony digital photo frame retailing for more than twice the money (over 200 the last time I looked). If you buy this frame, I can assure you that you will not be disappointed.
Such a good looking product! November 18, 2008 S. Sykes (Yorkshire. England) 13 out of 15 found this review helpful
We had been looking round for a few months for a digital photo frame but they all seemed rather old fashioned. We read the remarks regarding this particular frame and felt that this one was worth trying. It looks good; is very stylish and modern; and very easy to operate. We were concerned about the negative comments regarding the slide show feature re-starting at the beginning each time it is turned off, but we have found we can start the slide show from any picture using the thumb nail feature, so we haven't found it a problem. Not sure about the touch features as this smears the frame; much better to use the the remote, although this seems a bit flimsy, (this is only a small niggle.) We like being able to put in different memory cards together so that we can separate different slide shows without having to change memory cards. As silver surfers we find the whole system easy to use. We would recommend this product to anyone and their grandparents!
