It only took about 15 minutes to install the drive (including all the faffing about with taking the case to bits and reclipping cables)(and then 30 minutes to download updates), and I'm impressed with this product.
It comes complete with a range of software tools, enabling you to play disks, burn, archive, print labels and so on - The software provided (Cyberlink) is much better than the WinDVD software I bought for around 25 a year ago.
I've now tried it with both HD-DVD and Blu-Ray disks, and both work perfectly. I haven't yet tried to burn anything onto dvd or cd though - I'm sure it'll be okay...
The main reason for buying the drive was to keep the current game-disk in one drive, and be able to play films using the second (changing them over is more trouble than my wife will believe!). The price of this drive now means I can hoover up cheap HD-DVD films, and invest in the latest Blu-Ray films: The Dark Knight was the main reason to buy this to be honest!

This drive DOES NOT record to Blu-ray discs even though the 'Product Description' says it does.
