Just bought the garmin 200w and now wouldn't be without it. First time for me to have one but its so simple and easy to use.We loved the product so much we've bought another one the same for some friends. Thoroughly recommend this purchase. Great extra features like, nearest shops, petrol stations, hotels, banks and atm's parking etc. Fab little gaget!!! One other reviewer mentioned about not having a home charger included, but to be honest all you need to do is plug the sat nav into your cigarette lighter socket and away you go,
Adios TomTom August 1, 2007 Ed Meister (United Kingdom) 108 out of 111 found this review helpful
TomTom, I loved you until some scallys decided to steal you from me! So, decision, cheap SatNav or another Tom? I compared them all in the local Halfords store, determined that Tom was the only SatNav for me but I love this little unit! Very fast compared to my old Tom (700), 15 satellites to connect to instead of the few I got with Tom, works with the glare-filter windscreen on the Renault which Tom hated and is just plain simple. Ok, no remote or bluetooth or handsfree etc, but then I recently gave up on SmartPhones for a simple Nokia 6300; I never needed all the gadgets that just ate the battery - much like the TomTom, battery, flat... So this little bute, same size as an iPod (Not Nano!), fits in the pocket, comes out of the box with just an incar charger and a dock and I love it. Superb touch screen, simple no nonsense navigation, bit wary at first but then got used to the fact that Tom was just to clever, the Garmin manual is about 4 pages compared to the Phone Book with Tom. TomTom vs Garmin? I loved TomTom, made life easier but apart from the smashed window on the car I'm glad I've got a nice easy touch screen wide screen fits in yer pocket Garmin Nuvi 200!
Simple Slim Easy to use October 30, 2007 Sid Shaw (UK) 51 out of 52 found this review helpful
This is my first sat nav and initially I had difficulty but soon found my way round. It is superb and easy to use and gives clear voice activated directions. I am sure I am going to use it more and more. The only downfall is that it does not come with a charger.
