Excellent! January 24, 2008 PJ Online 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
I've had mine for a year now. Used it in a cave in Cuba, in the garage, on various holidays or just walking home in the dark. It's solid, very bright and fits in your hand easily. An excellent buy at under 20 as a 3watt torch would cost around 45. As to reliability mine is, and has been fine, but like all torches, if the battery contacts don't spring out enough it may become unreliable, so if yours doesn't work, try bending the spring in the cap out a little.
The torch I've been searching for! June 22, 2007 I. C. D. Moore (Hook, Hampshire, UK) 5 out of 7 found this review helpful
As a surveyor, I need a powerful torch which is not too bulky or heavy. This little gem fits the bill perfectly and makes my old Maglite seem prehistoric. Haven't found a downside yet although it's too early to assess battery life yet. Still, my company pays for those so who cares?
Excellent patrol torch June 19, 2008 Rob (UK) 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
I bought this torch to replace the dismal mini maglite provided as part of standard police kit. It is extremely bright, and fits very well in the hand to provide a steady beam in an overhand grip. The shape of the casing, with the enlarged head, means that it can be slotted snugly into the loop on the collar bone area of standard body armour. The metal casing itself is durable and solid, and it has a satisfyingly heavy feel which suggests it can take a hammering. The light is very bright white and sharp, and the torch I have has worked consistently without fading or flickering. I have had none of the problems reported by some other reviewers and the torch is exactly as pictured and described. The only disadvantage is the range provided by the LEDs, but for most policing purposes it does the job well at a very low price.
Good quality torch September 20, 2007 M. Tully (Sheffield, United Kingdom) 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
I bought this torch to replace my old trusty festival torch since I wanted something a little bit brighter and more compact to take with me. Both the build quality and craftsmanship of this torch are quite good, it looks and feels like a very well made torch. It's also fairly compact at only 10cm long and under 4cm in diameter at the widest point. The light given out is clear and sharp and very bright for an LED torch. Obviously since it uses LED's it's no good for lighting over long distances but for anything up to 25m it copes easily. The only drawback that I've found is that sometimes when you turn the torch on it only gives a very faint light. If you give it a shake or tap it on something it lights up properly though. Seems like this is due to the battery holder that fits into the handle - sometimes it doesn't quite sit right. Not really a big problem though. Overall I'm very happy with this product and would recommend it for anyone that needs a bright LED torch that is compact and sturdy.
