THIS IS FOR E6 June 18, 2008 KingBlade (Lincoln UK) 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
This book has been fully re written for Elements 6 and is perfect for looking up "Just how do you get rid of red eye? How do you delete detail you don't want? It is so easy to follow even IVAN BROWN (see review from said person) could use it if he read it properly. I fully recommend this book to anyone with PSE6
An excellent book for finding your way around PSE6 September 17, 2008 S. L. Cheriton (London UK) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I have been pretty much glued to this book ever since getting it. I consider myself a computer geek, but PSE6 was quite new to me, and I have found the book invaluable in helping me find my way round the software and process my photos. It's easy to follow, well laid out, and quite well written (if somewhat American), and has very practical advice and tips. My husband, who is most definitely NOT a computer geek, has also been following and using it and quite happily. I mostly dip in an out for specific advice, but having just used it to successfully calibrate my monitor / download a printer profile / get a decent print (hurrah!), I am planning to read it cover to cover. In fact I may have to buy a second copy because I now have to fight my husband for it. Even if you buy a more technical book as well, this is well worth the money to get you going.

PSE 6 is not that different to PSE5 so expecting the books to be major re-writes is a little naive. I have read and browsed a number of books on PSE6 and they only differ marginally from the previous versions but that reflects the minor upgrade in the software. My advice is do not buy the book for PSE6 if you already have the PSE 5 version. If you do not have any then this will prove an excellent book as so many of the others do.
Brilliant book . December 6, 2008 Don (UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Not being up to speed with Elements 6 in fact getting frustrated with it I bought this book and within an hour of receiving it I had accomplished several effects on some wedding photos that I had taken that I didn't know E6 could do. Just follow what they say & you can't go wrong.
Bryan Wickins December 18, 2008 Bryan I fully recommend this book to anyone with PSE6.And excellently written for the person just starting Digital photography and the only book you will need.
