One of the best books I have read on closing sales December 4, 2005 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
There are so many books available on selling that it is very hard to know which ones are worth reading. I heard about this book after reading one of the author's articles. I am glad that I did as it contains a ton of highly practical and effective techniques. I have been able to use a number of these and they really are very effective. This isn't a cheap book but I guess you get what you pay for. The section on hypnotic selling techniques is worth getting the book for on its own. Good to see some quality information available on selling - it makes a change from all the usual rubbish available.
A practical process that really works March 17, 2006 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I've read tons of books on persuasion and influence, NLP etc, and learned many useful techniques. But what's so often missing is the 'how' for tying things together. Bare Knuckle Selling gives you the process, as well as a boat load of tips and techniques. Despite the slightly 'macho' title, this book offers a very practical, non-manipulative, approach for developing and closing deals that actually feels good for you and your clients. Despite having lots of experience in the field, I found new distinctions and approaches I was able to put into practice right away. Definitely worth buying!
Using the techniques without thinking about it! April 9, 2006 Andy Lopata (Broxbourne, Herts United Kingdom) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This really is an excellent and enjoyable book. Without even realising it, I found myself advising a new franchisee recently and all of the advice I was giving was rooted in what I had read in this book. Not only useful, but practical. I will be recommending it to all of our franchisees as I think it will make a major difference to their business.
A must read for Sales Managers April 4, 2006 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I wish this book had been available when I was a Sales Manager. It offers an excellent step by step sales process with all the extra bits that make selling magical. The personal style makes the book very readable. Excellent as a refresher for experienced sales people and for those new to the world of selling.
Really hits the spot! September 18, 2006 Sarah Graham, Inspired! Magazine (UK) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Simon Hazeldine has been writing articles for my magazine Inspired! for some time. The magazine is aimed at people in direct sales but Simon's understanding of what makes people tick runs through every page of his book. He doesn't just tell what works he says why it works and so the reader gets to really understand how to apply the techniques and what makes them so successful. It's more than a book about selling, it's a study of human nature that can be applied to any situation. It's a whole training course that can be used again and again.
