Dragonology - A Complete Book of Dragons October 2, 2003 Louisa Carroll 41 out of 41 found this review helpful
I bought this book yesterday after seeing it in a bookshop sale. I am a huge fan of everything to do with Dragons and thought that this would make a nice addition to my collection. I was immediatly impressed with the cover of the book, extremely well made and the contents of the book were commented on by everybody i showed it to. Written as if it were a sort of diary, it was full of interseting pictures and things to read. there were 'samples' of dragon skin and dragon dust to touch and look at, as well as diagrams on the physiology and biology of dragons, which lift up to reveal the muscle structure, then the bone structure of a dragon. This book is a must for any fans of Dragons and the mythology surrounding them, not just for its appearance, but you might want to get over how fantastic it looks before you read it!!
Brilliant Book January 5, 2006 A. Sandell (Norfolk, UK) 26 out of 26 found this review helpful
I am seventeen and love this book, I think old and young will enjoy it. I love these books so much I have the other two (so far!) Wizardology and egyptology. The detailed imagery is beautiful and the flaps, pockets and books add to the interest. Not forgetting to include the special picture at the back, of a large dragons head containing a gem for the eye. Though for very young children there is alot of writing, but i feel these books can be treasured for years until they do come to reading it.
Fantastic! January 20, 2004 Clara Von Kluk Kluk (Ulverston, Cumbria United Kingdom) 22 out of 22 found this review helpful
This book turned out to be this years star Christmas present for my daughter. She has not put it down and it accompanies her to school now as well. A magical and "authentic" account of dragons and their background, including some wonderful samples of dragon skin!! The way this book has been written and illustrated makes it totally convincing, even to an adult!

what a wonderful book for children.we bought this book for our son's ninth birthday and he loves it.it is either being read or its under his arm being transported to bed with him.in a lovely way its interactive as he is sharing it with us and feels he is teaching us new things about dragons.its lovely to see him lost in the magical world of dragons long may it last
Attractive without a glance October 23, 2004 37 out of 40 found this review helpful
I am a 12 year old in the world of books and I picked up this book out of interest. Even without a glance of the inside it looks good. The cover is amazing. But inside really opens your heart out for the world of dragons. Whether or not you believe in them this book is very reccommended. Brilliant for all ages because it is such and interactive book. Children enjoy the full out leaflets, skin samples, and miniature books inside and adults find all of the maps, scales and writing interseting. But it is so easily catergorised and you just have to show everyone you know once you get this beautifully illustrated book! A must buy!
