i dont read many books at all but i did make an effort to buy this as i had heard it was good read,i was more than suprised. after reading the first page i was hooked bare in mind im not a book gal at all,(i read this in under a week) i just couldnt put it down every page you are willing to turn. you get a full sight into katies life she talks about things that are very personal to her about her son and her love life, she tells of her trouble of dwight york and her lust for teddy shringham its brilliant. after finishing this book it left me begging for more. although i found the book amazingly intresting i doubt wheter it would be sutable for prude types as she dosnt leave much to the imagination about her sex life and if your not intrested in the whole glamour modeling, sex lifes of the rich and famous i wouldnt bother. but if like my self you cant get enough of the rich and fabulous this is a deffinate for your book shelf. one word to summerise this book would be truthfull. go out and buy it i swear it will be money well spent.

5 out of 5 stars Such a surprise.   May 11, 2004

I was pleasantly surprised by just how readable this book is. I had actually bought it as a gift for someone, but ended up reading it myself. Initially, I'd had some preconceptions about the Lady herself, and how interesting I might find her story. This apprehension was allayed by the first two chapters, and then I couldn't put it down. I am not usually a reader of tabloid newspapers, but Jordan's appearance in 'I'm a Celebrity...' had brought out a bit of the voyeur in me, and I wanted to find out more. And the book does deliver.

Her desire to be famous was not as easy a path to take as one might imagine. I involved great strength of mind to overcome the challenges she faced in her early life, and get rid of the self-doubt you could forgive her for suffering.

It is true that much of her approach to life is transformed, by the time you reach the central chapters. Her relationships with Dwight Yorke and Dane B. illustrate the reasons why she emerged much stronger, and was eventually able to deal with men on her terms. Her stoicism and acceptance of her child's illness shows too, how compassionate and brave she can be.

At the end, and this story is far from over, you're aware that you've just read a tour de force of a story of modern celebrity. I found myself admiring her vastly more than I thought that I would.

This book is not just for those who might be classed archetypal Jordan Fans. Every student of media, the world over, formal and informal, will find this book one which delineates the relationship between the Press and the people who court publicity.

And if you're one of those people who reckoned that Katie Price is just a lady with large thoractical protuberances, and little else, you'll be surprised. The strong, proud woman who emerges at the end will have apprised you of the fact that, in the preceding pages, she has given eloquent voice to an astonishingly full life. I recommend it!

5 out of 5 stars I love Jordan   June 9, 2007

This is my favourite ever book! I love her. She is funny, honest, clever and a wonderful mother to Harvey and Junior.

I am not a regular reader I tend to start a book and finish it 3 months later however in 4 evenings I finished this book. You can't stop turning pages to see an insight into what is often thought of as her "fake, easy life and nothing more than a lassie who gets her assets out!" This could not be further from the truth. Katie clearly works as hard as us if not harder and she has put up with a lot of hassle from relationships which humbled me in a way to see that even someone as gorgeous, witty and itteligent as her puts up with a lot of nonesense in order to be loved. My heart went out to her.

By the end of the book I felt I knew her inside and out, good and bad points about her unlike other celebs who choose to tell you what they want you to believe. There is no holding Jordan back in this book.

I passed this round friends of all ages (20 - 62 years of age) most of which were sceptical about reading it "that glamour models book" however every one of the enjoyed and and went on to read her next one "A Whole New World"

I am now looking forward to her third one due out next year.

Buy this book, sit down with a chocolate bar, relax and before you know it the pages won't stop turning!!!

Given this a 5 star rating but that doesn't even come close to how good this book is!!

Thats what i love about it, it's just about her. It's a great read and i would recommend anyone to get it, it would be money well spent! :)
