It's hardly a secret, but these were not written by EB. And these seem to be somewhat newer recordings than the original books, so some of the voices are noticeably different. Sadly there are, again, no sleeve notes about recording details, cast etc. Shame. But the target audience cares not about these minor quibbles. The boy (8.5) says they're not quite as good as the original disks - because he already knew the characters and the stories are not quite so adventurous - but he still choses to listen to them above most everything else. The girl (6.0) is completely satisfied. Very good value.
