An Old Secret Revealed September 11, 2007 a reader 54 out of 79 found this review helpful
A movie first and then turned into a book, "The Secret" is about getting what you want by knowing what you want and keeping it at the forefront of your thoughts. It gets this concept across really well and is a quite entertaining book. I like that it gets people thinking positively about things and concentrating on what they really want- I mean you can't get what you want until you know what you want. Of course common sense tells me that one has to "do" too to get what they want in addition to thinking positively. Other self-help books I liked include The Sixty-Second Motivator. Cheers.
Fantastic April 14, 2007 Inspired (UK) 24 out of 35 found this review helpful
At a couple of points in this book, I slapped myself on the head saying "that makes so much sense". Other parts, I knew that I already knew it. Combine the two (makes sense and I knew that), and you wonder - why have I never put those two things together on my own. There are some really great concepts in this book, things that will help you put things together. Another thing you need to do is get the thought of coincidence completely out of your head. Get 'The Convention' written by Jeff Travis. A wonderfully written spiritual and inspirational work. There are no coincidences and you just never know when an Angel is sitting on your shoulder.
I'm the Creator! May 19, 2008 Colleen Messina 37 out of 55 found this review helpful
"The Secret" is truly a gift to readers. I see how I create my reality with my thoughts. I am excited to practice the suggestions in this book, as I focus on what I want to create in my life, instead of focusing on what I'm resisting in my life. As "The Secret" mentions, "what I resist persists". Authors Ariel & Shya Kane also mention this principle in their books, "Working on Yourself Doesn't Work" and "How to Create a Magical Relationship". The Kane's books work hand in hand with "The Secret" as I continue to discover the magic of living life presently & creating a wonderful life full of infinite possibilities. I highly suggest Ariel & Shya's books if your interested in fueling the magnificence of "The Secret."
Thought Provoking May 29, 2007 Tom Davidson (London, England) 36 out of 54 found this review helpful
I found the SECRET to be a highly thought provoking book...and to be quite honest I became very careful about what I was thinking...because according to the SECRET your predominant thoughts create your reality. "Like attracts like" and as the wisdom of the SECRET reveals our positive thoughts and uplifted, joyous emotions create our reality. The universe is a feeling, responsive universe and does respond to our thoughts and feelings...so this is how we can transform our lives, by means of the power of our thoughts. The SECRET also advocates to create a vision board...this is a piece of paper that you can attach pictures or statements about what you would like to create in your life...and as you look at your vision board daily this helps you envision what you would like to create in your life, and this assists in the process of manifesting your abundance and prosperity. There are many more words of wisdom and insights for living a prosperous life that you will discover by reading the SECRET. If you like the SECRET you will also enjoy a new age novel, Nexus by Deborah Morrison and Arvind Singh, and another new age novel The Saint The Surfer and The C.E.O. by Robyn Sharma.
