Wonderfully written, across-time romance! June 27, 1999 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
This was my first Johanna Lindsey novel and I'm hooked. As both a history buff/major and amateur writer, I feel the book was filled with an intricate plot that played out wonderfully, beautiful characters you get to love, creative use of history, and an ending for all the romantic dreamers in the world that's to die for. I admit the thought of time travel and the paradox that occurs in the novel are interesting, but the dreamer and historian in me fell in love with the cursed Viking I wanted for myself and the professor I wished I was. I recommend this book for anyone who loves action, myth, history, and of course good old fashion romance.
Loved this book, a great fantasy and an even greater escape! February 16, 1998 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I was very hesitant to read a book on time travel and set in the present. I usually prefer historical romances, but this book did not disappoint me! Rosaleen is a very likable charachter and Thorn is just a totally masculine heart throb! I coudn't put it down and when I had to, I wanted my dinner company to leave early so I could read more. Johanna Lindsey has a way with making Viking men seem more desirable than vicious. That is the bliss of fantasy. This is a definate must read! :)
A curse I want December 30, 1998 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
The only thing to say about this book is 'Wow'. It's a delicious ride from the beginning to the very end. It makes me want to start collecting ancient weapons and finding a curse. If all the curses looked as good as Thorn, then I'm on my way to Europe. It's an enchanting love story with excellent history. It keeps the reader on their toes and is humurous to see if they could correct the mistakes they made when travelling back in time. You must read this one if you love Viking men, curses, time-hopping and a love that will go on 'Until Forever'. Happy readings.
excellent!!!!!!! April 24, 1998 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
the book was one of my favorite one's yet, everytime I read one of her books I can't put it done. I love how in this book she made it seem like it was a time travel book. The best part of the whole book was at the end when she brought him back to her year.!
BEST BOOK I'VE EVER READ October 17, 1998 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I LOVE THE WORLD OF FANTASY, AND MINE HELPS KEEP ME SANE WITH A HUSBAND, THREE DAUGHTERS, AND A FULL TIME JOB. JOHANNA IS GREAT, AND I LOOK FORWARD TO EACH AND EVERY BOOK. THIS BOOK TAKES ME TO ANOTHER WORLD, AND MY FANTASY IS THE LIMIT.
