One of the best guides around February 9, 2006 E. L. Tatlow (UK) 72 out of 73 found this review helpful
Great book with lots of pictures. So many books don't have enough pictures of crystals but this one is excellent at showing multiple forms of each crystal which is useful for identifying those ones you've forgotten the name of, or are not sure of.Plus it has a huge amount of information on not only the main crystal variation, but on specifics of e.g. colour variations of a crystal, and what special attributes it has. I have got 5 or 6 books on crystals and rocks, some books quite old, some very new and this one is the most comprehensive by miles. Highly recommended!
Wow,What an amazing book! September 20, 2005 56 out of 57 found this review helpful
An amazing book, simple but informative, but most of all its full of beautiful photos of crystals. It is ideal for those of you who are just beginning to have an interest in crystals,to obsessives like me. A stunning book that you will keep having to peep into, to learn the esoteric meanings of the stones.I honestly have to have it near me at all times.I cannot recommend it highly enough. I have got other crystal books, but they are difficult to understand, because they seem to go too deeply into the spiritual meanings, to a point, I lose interest. This book is an absolute must for crystal lovers everywhere!Thankyou for such a marvelous addition to my collection. I would say it is my favourite book, and I never ever get bored of looking in it.Its great when you get a few minutes to yourself, and just want to relax.Love it!
The Crystal Bible August 1, 2004 Clare (England) 74 out of 76 found this review helpful
This is one of my favourite books! This book is so comprehensive and informative, no crystal collector should be without this! Not only are there pictures of all crystals so it is quite easy to identify them, it also lists what the properties are, what healing they can do and so much other information. There is a good section on how to cleanse your crystals, all the different forms of crystals ie. eggs, spheres, wands etc etc.., the background of crystals and so much more information. Yes, people have said there are better crystal books out there, indeed possibly there are but, this is so comprehensive and so user friendly. Whether your new to crystals or an old hand everyone will get some kind of use from this book. And its also a great size for popping in your bag or if your out and see a crystal your not familiar with! I wouldn't be without my copy, I use it most days for quick referencing, and its set out alphabetically so its easy to find the information you are looking for.
The splendour of crystals November 8, 2003 Pieter (Johannesburg) 38 out of 39 found this review helpful
This comprehensive reference work covers all the well-known types of stone plus many obscure or recently discovered crystals. The convenient directory format makes it easy to find particular crystals or to identify unknown ones. The esoteric properties of the stones are described, with each stone’s mental, spiritual, psychological, emotional and physical effects explained, as well as its application for healing purposes. The introduction provides interesting background information on how crystals are formed, advice on how to select and care for your crystals, how to use them for various purposes including healing and decoration, and the proper way of dedicating them. There is also a crystal meditation exercise. The book concludes with a glossary and index. The Crystal Bible is an impressive reference book with dazzling colour photographs.

This is a really super book with clear photos and clear easy to read sections on the attributes of each crystal as well as how to use the crystal etc. This is one book that anyone interested in crystals and their healing properties should own. It is also easy enough for sitting on the coffee table for visitors to dip into.
