Great for any fan of Hary Potter September 3, 2007 Ms. Aileen E. Kennedy (Essex) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is a great book for any one beginning knitting, as its got a good mixture of easy, medium, and hard patterns. All patterns have easy to follow instructions. It will also keep you in good favour with any Harry Potter fan in your life, whether its a child or you. A word of warning about the house scarfs the large size are film acurate length.
A must for HP fans January 6, 2008 sezo (uk) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love Harry Potter and throught the books knitting has a very active role so its wonderful how Hansel has created a book for fans of HP to knit such wonderful designs and make everyday magical! The patterns have various degrees of difficulty which are highlighted as first year, OWL or NEWT, and lots of things to knit in your house colours. There are patterns for jumpers, scarfs, socks, as well as the invincibility cloak (a shawl), owls and even wand cosies! As a bit of a sock knitter I loved the patterns for quidditch and house socks as well as dobbies sock, harry's sock and socks with broomsticks and snitches! Its a wonderful book with lots of humour and delight, as well as patterns that are easy to understand :)
