Addictive! October 19, 2006 Murray (UK) 32 out of 33 found this review helpful
At first I thought the Powerball was a bit of waste of time. It took me a long time to get to grips with how you get the inner ball to rotate. Once you have the hang of it though, it's really quite addictive! The idea is that you hold the powerball in your hand and slowly start to rotate it so that the inner ball spins. Once you pick up speed the inner ball's resistance kicks in and it gives you a great arm workout - perfect if you play a lot of racket sports. Beyond an exercise tool, it's really addictive and I would guess it's a great way of keeping your hands busy when trying to give up smoking! Highly recommended!

This is the original powerball and still the one I keep coming back to. I have been using various powerball for over two years now and I love it as much now as when I first got it. The manufacturer's description really doesn't do this product justice, although their website does. If you use this powerball at low speeds it is great for RSI and other wrist/arm injuries. At high speeds it gives an amazing workout and really builds up all the arm and shoulder muscles. The build quality is incredible (do not be tempted by inferior wannabes) and the lifetime guarantee is unbeatable. I've had to replace a small part already (due to my intensive usage!) and they sent out the part quickly, free of charge and with full fitting instructions, can't say fairer than that! It is truly addictive and put it on a table in a room full of friends and you will all soon be fighting to out do one another. I could write so much more about this product, but really you've got to buy one and try for yourself, you will not regret it! Try to track down the version with the timing computer on top so you can see how you're progressing.

Really good, it works October 20, 2007 Alvin Lee (North East England) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I've had this product for about 2 weeks now and I can 100% confirm it definately works. The first time I used it I took a few minutes getting the feel for how it works and encouraging the spinner inside to pick up speed. As soon as I got it up to speed and got the hang of it I was aware that I had to grip the ball really hard to control the gyroscopic forces and the muscles in my wrist (that I never knew I had!) were aching a lot within a minute or so. I tend to use the PowerBall for about half an hour to an hour at a time, passing the ball from hand to hand every 2 minutes or so, or whenever one wrist wants a rest!! I'm able to pass it to my other hand without stopping the spinner now and just picking up the speed when I've got hold of it properly. Also, I've worked out a way of starting it without the string, I hold the ball in my left hand (I'm left handed) and run it very quickly in a whip motion along the palm and middle finger of my right hand to get it away. It takes 3 or 4 goes at the most to get it going and is really tricky to encourage the spinner to speed up as I can not get it any where near as fast as the string method gets it. Bit I can't be bothered to worry about losing the string! So, my proof that it works, well I can use the PowerBall for far longer than I could on the first goes, and with more speed too and my wrists take longer to ache. I've found my grip is far far better than it was before I started to use it. I play the drums and the little niggling aches after 3 hours playing have completely gone. I used to get aches in my thumbs and wrists, but now after only 2 weeks of using this for about an hour maximum per day the improvement is staggering. Buy it.
