Product Description It is not wise to try to hold a camera whilst you are jumping out of a plane. Or skiing down a mountain. Or climbing the Grand Canyon. But, naturally, if you are doing those things you will, somehow, want to capture the moment. Action Camera is your answer. It is a tough, no-nonsense digital movie camera that attaches easily to a helmet, mast, harness, or handlebars. It has a 640x480 VGA CMOS sensor to record your incredible footage with incredible quality. You can then playback your adrenaline-fuelled antics on your PC or TV, or upload them to MySpace or YouTube. And if that is not enough, it also has an in-built SD card slot, so you can boost the existing 32MB of on-board memory up to 2GB. Ah yes, it's water, dirt, rain, snow and shock proof too. Now, be off with you. Haven't you got a cliff face to scale?

ATC-2K action camera January 23, 2007 helmetcam freak (H'gate) 20 out of 22 found this review helpful
I went on holiday during the Xmas break and it was snowing where I was. Obviously I came prepared with jacket, hat, gloves etc. I was a bit concerned about turning my ATC-2K cam on and off though. I didn't want to take my gloves off just to do that. Turned out fine though, I just listened for the beeping noise it makes for on and off. Also, the manual says to use a heat pouch it sells, or is planning on selling, in cold weather along with lithium batteries. At times the temp was below freezing and my cam worked fine without either! There was one time when it was a bit slow though so I took out the batts and held them in my hand for a minute to warm them up. It went back to its normal speed after that. It's a plug and play cam so no need to use a CD to install, just the USB cord. The video quality obviously isn't as good as a normal video camera but that's expected as it's designed for extreme sports. It's also a handy size, fits into my pocket easily and only needs 2 AA batts.
action camera October 27, 2007 Gatis Kandis (London, UK) 11 out of 12 found this review helpful
I ordered the camera last week and got it this week. It was about 7-8 days waiting. Not bad considering I used super saver delivery and got it delivered for free. I think the video quality is quite good - much better that my sony ericssons video quality. But I'm giving 4 stars because the microphone and its location isn't that good. The microphone is under that cap which protects the camera from water. So without it sound is loud enough but not clear - worse than in my sony ericsons case, but with the cap on it's so quiet - you can hardly hear anything. In the manual it shows the microphone is under the camera but it's not true - the microphone is somewhere on the back. But I'm still very satisfied with video quality.
