This album is one of the finest musicals i have ever had the pleasure to listen to. Although the accompaniment is not a 'full' as most musicals (i.e. doesn't use a full orchestra) its instrumentation is well suited the the tone of the music. I was impressed with the versitality of the writing and the performers on the album are extremely talented, and are able to create different characters with ease for each song.
Although, i have not yet been fortunate to see Songs for a New World on stage as yet, I shall look out for tour dates in the UK. I am a huge fan of Jason Robert Brown, and i intend on listening to more of his work in the future.All in all, I would say this musical is a huge success, and I would recommend everyone listens to the sounds samples, and you'll be just as amazed as I was.
