The Elfman has done it again!August 24, 2008 Ghost of Kai(Wales, UK) When it comes to Danny Elfman's soundtrack work I am a huge fan. His music can be hauntingly beautiful at time and that's what makes it such wonderful listening. Having seen "Hellboy II - The Golden Army" the other day I decided to get this soundtrack from itunes. At first I wasn't sure what to think but, as the tracks went through my headphones I was struck by how good this really is.
If you listen carefully you can hear echoes from Elfman's "Edward Scissorhands" soundtrack. Both of which have Elfman's signature sounds. His music makes for a very enjoyable and emotional listening experience. He is a genuis of our time and a man I highly respect.
Worth every penny! An absolute must-have for any soundtrack or Danny Elfman fan...
