Forgot your current image of Neil Diamond as a sparkly-shirted, Vegas cabaret superstar, these tracks from his greatest period. A cheap cd, packed full of classics (and all the right versions!), these date from a time when Diamond was a songwriter on top of his game producing fantastic, credible, contempory tracks. None of the over-produced schmaltz of the later CBS years, my only gripe is the absence of "Done Too Soon"

Well what can i say, just as good as (maybe) even better than the other albums. Of Neil"s other songs those in this collection include some of his most moving ballads powerful chorus numbers like "walk on water", and the infectious sinalong of "song sung blue" I would strongly recommend it if you are a neil fan

It was a Friday evening late, I was relaxing home after a tough day, I had worked a double shift, it was tough then!money was tight and so was my budget, back in "72" when I heard "Walk on water".....I really needed to hear that song again the lyrics, the guitar, the rhythm, the movement and combination of the instruments, the style...the man had his own thing going and it was refreshing...I searched and bought the MOODS album on venyl as it was back then,and to think that I! was careful spender!! The album is like a Diamond in the rough. I have been looking for the CD but to no avail...This premium CD offers the Listener the style and versatility of the artist,I salute Mr.Neil Diamond for taking what he found in this world and time, for putting his own style and taking music to another level.You moved me buddy, like so many other artist I thank you...from Trinidad&Tobago...Good health to you and your team..

I was a great fan many years ago, had all the tapes, and a few cd's. Then lost touch, his 80's and 90's stuff didn't do much, but recently with his newest and 12 Songs, my interest has been rekindled. Couldn't resist this at the rediculously low price, and it is great, and embarrasingly I know most of the words. brilliant.
