Duffy ROCKS 100%!!! August 16, 2008 C PETTY (England) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
Super new single from Duffy, I don`t know how she does it but she seems to always come up with such brilliant songs. Looking at the front cover of this CD single, she appears pleasant enough, better than that really, really scary front cover of the Adele CD single, you felt you just couldn`t hang around for long with that scary face staring at you but with Duffy it is a different story, she looks lovely and her voice is lovely too, she is the best!
Lovely song - yet another reason to love Duffy September 16, 2008 L. Green (London, UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Barcode: 0602517807310 Stepping Stone is another absolute gem of a track - the 4th single taken from Duffy's number 1 album - Rockferry. Seeing her take a more subtle, melancholy side - while not quite as instant as her previous singles, with a few listens it becomes utterly enchanting. Once again showcasing Duffy's amazing vocals against a lush backdrop of dreamy strings and piano it's the perfect song for the start of the Autumn. As with Warwick Avenue, Stepping Stone's better b-side is to be found on the 7" version of the single in the form of Big Flame. That said though, Frame Me is also an extremely song track and continues Duffy's trend for releasing outstanding tracks as b-sides. This soul-flavoured number is a perfect counterpoint to the more gentle balladry of Stepping Stone and rounds off this CD as a great little release. Track Listing: 1. Stepping Stone 2. Frame Me
