5 out of 5 stars The Prestige HD-DVD, a must have for any fan   June 19, 2007

Finally, The Prestige comes in High Definiton for all who don't have a
Region A Blu-ray player, and Warner Bros delivers a great disc.

Picture:
PQ is fantastic, easily up there with Nolan's other HD masterpiece Batman
Begins. Really crisp/sharp picture with fine detail on every frame. Grain
is next to non existant (just like Batman Begins), and is minted from the
same master as the US Blu-ray version. Upon a direct comparison of the 2
formats, they are absolutley identical.

Sound:
SQ is a little on the down side. Far from terrible, it only comes with a
English Dolby Digital + track and is sorely missing the Dolby TrueHD we
would come to expect on a Warner Bros release. Fortunatley, the DD+ track
is a very nice mix, and delivers in spades (although it's a tad lower in
volume much like other HD-DVD's from Warner Bros).

7.5/10

Special features wise, there's not much here, but what we have is all in
HD which is a nice feature. They are exactly the same features on the
Blu-ray disc.

Overall, a fine disc, and one of my favourite films of 2006. A must have
for any fan of the film or HiDef presentation.
