Is there anything on television quite like The Mighty Boosh? Bluntly, who cares, for the ongoing adventures and antics of Noel Fielding and Julian Barratt remain a comedic treat, even if season three does have its up and down moments. Let's temper that, quickly: The Mighty Boosh on one of its lesser days can still generate more laughs than 90% of other modern-day comedy series, and that's certainly the case with the six episodes here. Lead characters Howard and Vince are found working in the Nabootique this time, and it's not long before they're joined by some old favourites. Cue Bob Fossil, the sublime Shamen, and the Moon, among others. If there's one downside to The Mighty Boosh's third season, it is perhaps a little too much self-indulgence, which occasionally tempers things. But then that's set against some brilliantly ambitious episodes, some of the finest surrealist humour on the telly, and the terrific Crack Fox. There's little denying that as a show, The Mighty Boosh can easily be classed as bizarre, bonkers, and straight-out odd. But here, that's turned into the show's strength. And given the side-splitting laughs it continues to generate, we wouldn't have it any other way. --Jon Foster

Although fans might find it doesn't quite achieve the expectations laid down by series 2, newcomers may actually find most of the laughs in the third series a bit more accessible. I was blown away by Milky Joe and Old Greg and I would have been suprised if they had managed to maintain this level of surreal humour given that the Boosh has inevitably become more branded and tamed.
The third series is still hugely original and very VERY funny in places. Watch the "making of" documentary on BBC iPlayer if you need to be convinced. Unless they let Harry Hill provide the commentary for the next Eurovision this is still the funniest thing on the box.

Reviewers always find follow on series less stimulating than the first, regarardless of their actual quality. If you look at the Mighty Boosh reviews this is what has happened. In fact, if you watch MB3 (as I did) BEFORE the other 2 series, you find that its actually much better, more creative and funnier. So there! 6 stars at least.

I think this series is on a par with series 2 which was outstanding. It would appear they have a better budget for 3 which only adds to the show in my mind since their fantasy worlds are depicted in an even greater fashion. I never could appreciate the blue peter style of sets and costumes in series 1. I agree with one poster that this series does revolve around Noel more than Julian which is a shame since he should be way more than just a semi-side kick. Apart from that it's a fantastic experience and the most creative viewing I've seen in years.

I loved Series 1 and 2 a great deal, but it different ways. I love Series 3 in a different way from the other two. I don't know why other people didn't seem to like it that much...I thought it was still as hilarious as the other two series. Can't wait for the film is all I can say!

series 3 is genius, it packs in fantastic visuals, weird and wonderful music, our favorite old characters e.g. the Hitcher, strange new ones, the Crack fox and a whole new level in crimping. Its not the same as the other two series because that would be boring, Vince has grown up a bit and can be badly behaved, poor Howard is still as deluded as ever and Naboo and Bollo get to play an intergral part. Keep going Boosh boys you can still pull some wonderful shapes
