A combination of cardiovascular workout and resistance training is recommended to maintain overall fitness as people age (and even when young). The tube - which can be bought in different sizes - provides a good alternative to dumb bells of different weights.
I have worked out with Reebok tube (L1 and L2) for several years now. Even with some years of being used on alternate days, the tube does not go loose or lose its elasticity. At the price, it is excellent value for money.
On usage, the tube can be used alone or in combination with a Swiss ball, where both core stability and specific muscle groups (usually arms, when in combination with the Swiss ball) can be worked upon. It can be easily packed and taken on travels, and if the hotel gym is unattractive, the tube provides a good way to do resistance training. I am hoping to graduate to L3 sometime in the near future.
