Excellent antivirus software August 30, 2007 Mr. S. J. O. Warner-bore (London, UK) 34 out of 34 found this review helpful
I have tried lots of different products (Norton, McAffee, Trendmicro) and have found Kaspersky to be the best. I bought two 3 licence versions and installed it on 5 machines in our studio + a laptop. Extremely easy to install and once installed gets on with the job quietly and without using lots of resources. The software scans everything that comes in contact with each computer - emails, downloads, usb keys, external hard-drives etc. It updates seemlessly and scans in the background while you get on with your work. I recommend this above the other brands and above the sever/client Trendmicro product (this was such a nightmare to manage I gave up).
Fantastic Product October 26, 2007 scottuss2 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
As a computer expert, I always recommend Kaspersky products over their competitors for one simple reason. It works. It does the job that it says on the box, which some products do not do quite as well! (Norton being one of them) Kaspersky virus signatures update at least every day as opposed to once a week. It's detection and removal rates are among the best, and the user interface has been much improved since previous versions. My only downside to it is that it has the typical "scare the user to death" with security alert boxes if something simple hasn't been done such as 1 update been missed, or a full scan hasn't been run. These alerts are unobtrusive however, and overall I would most certainly recommend this. I run it on all of my Windows based machines.
Excellent. Well done Kaspersky December 2, 2007 Mr. A. J. Rose (UK) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
Having been running Norton for several years i decided it was time for a change especially after they charged me 70 to remove a virus on my pc, which is what i thought was the whole point of having the software in the first place. After i eventually got rid of all the traces of Norton i installed Kaspersky Internet Security 7. It installed itself quickly and easily, and it virtually looks after itself. I have noticed that my Desk top is now running alot quicker than it was with Norton. I have now installed it on my new Dell inspiron lap top with the same excellent results.Very reasonable price too. WELL DONE KASPERSKY.
One of the top IS Suites-no problems encountered September 7, 2007 G. Seymour (London, UK) 15 out of 16 found this review helpful
Does not slow the system down, comprehensive protection.Only the Spam Filter errs occasionally.95+ accurate. You just can't make it 100%. With parental control, it is perfectly placed as far as the HO/SO version is concerned. Absolute breeze to install and run. Highly recommended.
Does Exactly What It's Supposed To Do December 2, 2007 Mr. Ross Hay (Kirkwall, UK) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I have tried several other products in the past including Norton, McAfee and Zone Alarm and have had problems with all of them. Generally, the system is slowed or it lets things through and with Norton and McAfee i have found their customer support frustrating and unhelpful I hadn't heard of Kaspersky but while researching the name came up time and time again as a good solid product which did the job and was easy to set up and use. I have now used this product for four months and have recommended it to friends and family as I have found very little wrong with it. It picks up intrusions and other security problems without getting in the way or reducing performance. The only issue that i have is that if you stray from the default settings, it start asking you questions about whether you want to allow a program or instruction and i don't know enough about these to know if i should be letting them through or not. Saying that however, i've found the default settings perfectly adequate. I've had endless problems with anti-virus software in the past. Now i have Kaspersky i'm going to stick with it for sure.
