5 out of 5 stars Bon Jovi's First Album   September 24, 2000

Bon Jovi's fist album, it is great it doesn't sound dated considering it was made in the early 80's which was good. It's all catchy rock songs that will have you singing along with in minutes. My favorite song is Shot Through The Heart (and no it's not like You Give Love A Bad name). Jon's voice also sound's really great. It also has their first hit Runaway which rock's. It's not my favorite of all their albums but it is a lot of fun. So if your looking for something fun and up beat or if your more into Bon Jovi's slower songs try These Day's which is full of great songs a lot are slow but there are some upbeat ones such as Something For The Pain.

The debut album from one of America's best exports. I adore this album. From Runaway through to Get Ready this album is a dong writing roller coaster and is a must for anyone who has ever expressed ANY interest in Bon Jovi.

5 out of 5 stars The Great Bon Jovi Debut Album!   July 27, 2007

1984's self titled gem "Bon Jovi" album was the first disc from Jon and his band and what a debut.
All the songs of this CD are great, catchy, legendary, just what you'd expect from Jon --- he and his band can do no wrong.
The CD starts off with a killer track, "Runaway" and finishes off with a killer track, "Get Ready". It was clear when you first heard this disc that Bon Jovi would become a legend and go on to even greater and with albums such as "Slippery When Wet", "New Jersey", "Keep The Faith" and "Bounce" everyone was poved right.
"She Don't Know Me" and "Shot Through The Heart" are 2 fine standout tracks.

5 out of 5 stars Great Album - The one Before the Ego's   April 11, 2007

This is an awesome Album which does not have a bad song on it.
Bon Jovi never failed to capture this level of energy again after this an although they became very successful they did get stuck in the corporate rutt of churning out the same album after album.

If you Like BJ and have not got this buy it now as it is by far their best works to date.

5 out of 5 stars A hard rock classic   August 18, 2008

I bought this on vinyl back in 1984 and I LOVE it : melodic , catchy , hard, well crafted rock songs.

Great drummer, vocalist and guitarist. It sounds fresh today and it is great for driving down the M4.
