5 out of 5 stars Impossible to just watch   October 8, 2007

These kind of games don't usually appeal to me - but this had me hooked. Whether playing on your own or with a group it is undeniably addictive.

For those of you who are over 30 and can remember the electronic game "Simon" this is a far superior, jazzed up progression of that. But if you think remembering Simon means you're too grown up for Bop It think again! It's impossible to sit and watch others play - you just want to join in.

Easy to hold, easy to use - the only hard bit is getting good at it!

..and if you feel guilty for wiling away so many hours, just be consoled by the fact you're improving your reflexes and dexterity in the process

5 out of 5 stars Its fun, but not as we know it!!!!!   January 13, 2006

This is a toy with a real double life. If you have a competitive streak, and kids, don't buy it unless you want some late nights!!!! It is mega-addictive, even if you get the high score, you will want to play again to try and beat it your-self.
On a fairly serious note, it is very entertaining, a great ice-breaker at parties, and as far as the kids go, it teaches co-ordination and the try try again mentality.
Not sure about durability, the vocal for "Flick It" sounds like "Swig It", and the maximum high score of 250 is too low. But,well, it's only a toy, and a very good one at that. Over-all it's a five out of five from us!!

5 out of 5 stars Good for kids and adults   March 31, 2005

Lets face it, once we get over 20 years old and don't have kids, we forget how great toys can be, so when my sisters came around with this I was quite interested in playing it.

The game is a hand-eye coordination test which is fun. This American guy yells BOP It, so you hit the big round button in the middle, flick it, pull it, twist it and spin it are also options. If you hit the wrong thing it's over.

The game isn't just solo fun, your friend can play it too, there's a head-to-head, and a version where you have to colaborate during the game - this is where a player plays for a minute or so and gives it to a friend.

The unit takes 2 AA batteries and has a headphone socket when you get fed up of hearing them play with it, and for people who get in a zone.

I really enjoyed playing with it, don't think my sisters liked me hogging it though!

Well worth getting - fun for the whole family!

5 out of 5 stars It should be called "Bop to 250"   May 26, 2005

I was bored and decided to myself to give this gadget a try. This product was amazingly addictive and I was always wanting to find out how high of a score I could get. Unfortunately; by 250 the score finishes and the game ends. So no; for those of you hopeing to break 1000 or even 1000000, it can't be attempted as 250 is the maximum.
The durability on this is descent enough. However, I feel anymore of reaching the 200 score marks and the amount of force which I am Twisting,Boping,Spinning, or flicking at the speed by then i think will slowly break this product.
Educational wise; this game is good at focusing people's coordination. If you have the time to spend and the money; get this it is a great product to have fun in your free time.
