Product Description You dont have your driver's licence yet but you can still get stuck in traffic! In Rush Hour Junior you must get home before the ice cream melts! Just like the original Rush Hour game, this kid's version is packed with bumper-to-bumper challenges. With 16 brightly coloured vehicle pieces, including a police car, fire truck, bus and jeep, you have to get to the exit to win. Rush Hour Junior has 40 challenge cards with fun levels from beginner (One Scoop) to expert (Banana Split). Suitable for ages 6 to 8 years. Single player game.
Amazon.co.uk Review Rush Hour Junior is the only time when it's fun (and safe) to play in traffic. The puzzle is designed for solo play for children aged from 6-8 years. The game comes complete with a Traffic grid, 16 brightly coloured vehicle pieces in various shapes and sizes (including your ice cream truck), 40 challenge cards and a travel bag. Playing the game is really easy; players choose one of the challenge cards and moves all the traffic pieces off the grid. Next, they replace some of the pieces--cars, trucks and buses--to match the drawing on the challenge card, making sure they are all placed in the correct position. Whatever card you choose, your ice cream truck will always be in the same row as the exit on the traffic grid. Your task is to move the other cars, trucks and so on, out of the way so that your ice cream truck can escape. There's only one rule--you can't take pieces off the traffic grid. Like real cars, you can only move them forwards or backwards. You win your challenge when your ice cream truck can slide out of the exit on the traffic grid. If you get really stuck in a jam, you can start again, or you have a quick peek at the answer on the reverse side of your challenge card. There are four levels of difficulty: - One scoop of ice cream for Beginners
- Two scoops of ice cream for Intermediates
- Hot Fudge Sundae means you have reached Advanced Level
- Banana Split means you're an expert
This game is great for long journeys and easy to pack in a travel bag. --Ben King Also available for older players: Rush Hour and Rush Hour Safari.

Hours of fun January 6, 2007 Binka 18 out of 18 found this review helpful
This was a christmas present for my 5year old - she loves it and so do I. You get a pack of cards giving different setups of the plastic cars, once you've copied the setup on the card the challenge is to get the icecream van out of the exit. I think its very educational as it gets kids thinking in a logical manner and planning ahead. The cards come in 4 different levels of difficulty. Most importantly its lots of fun. Its a game that can be played by one child (or adult), or two people helping each other. If you get really stuck the solutions are printed on the back of each card. The whole things comes in a good quality drawstring bag to keep all the bits in and means it can be easily taken away for the weekend. We have actually lost one car already but it makes no difference as you never need all the cars at the same time so we just substitute a different colour one when we need the orange one. Think I'm going to buy the non-junior version for myself now!
Brilliant game for home & travel February 12, 2007 C. Millington (UK Staffs) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
what a fabulous game! My 6 year old son loves it and its easy/medium/advanced variations make it enough of a challenge for anyone, even adults. My 4 year old son is also interested in it, but just a bit too young to concentrate without getting frustrated. Great quality, a really simple concept and small enough to go anywhere in its good quality travel bag. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to buy a fun, educational game that kids can play unassisted.
absolutely fabulous December 31, 2005 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
i bought this for my nearly seven year old thinking it might stretch him a little and after a couple games with help he had it sussed and wizzed through the cards and absolutely loves it, even his little brother likes playing with the cars, great buy and the travel bag is a great idea we all know how boxes get battered and broken!!!
