STOP COMPARING THIS TO CoD4 AND GEARS! March 21, 2008 D. J. Chilcott (uk) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
ok this game may not be as good as gears of war or call of duty, but how are you meant to make something better than that? if you dont compare it to them, these kind of games can be amazing.
Totaly awesome! March 20, 2008 R. Wagemaker (London, Xbox Live) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have played and almost completed the game on the seconds round now as a contractor on single player. First time as a recruit i played in co-op mode and also have a really good time, the game and the story is superb and the funny comments through out the game between the two characters just cracked me up sometimes. I do recommend this game to anyone that wants to have a laugh and some fun.
Please Ignore the Payed Reviews: the Have Lost Their Way March 23, 2008 Mr. D. R. Sargent (UK) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Firstly, as my title suggests, if you, like me, read lots of reviews about Ao2 before even thinking about buying it you may be a little down-heartened by the 'bad' reviews. But I can say that this game is a LOT of fun, manly to the core and with graphics like a Team Fortress 2 on steroids (cartoony but rugged). The controls are easy to pick up, minus the bit of Gears confusion (A doesn't get you into cover!) and the combat is usually flawless; sometimes you can't do exactly what you want but it's nothing unexpected, no game is perfect. Secondly, I will say that this game is for you AND A FRIEND, the AI is fine most the time, but the game really shines when playing with a human: you can create intelligent plans and really use Aggro to its full potential. When playing with the AI it isn't as horrible as the reviewers make it out to be; sure he does run into the enemy sometimes but so do I, if you tell him to lay down agressive fire (stay in cover and draw the Aggro) he'll do it. But if you're looking for large-scale mulitplayer action this game isn't for you, the multiplayer is limited to two-on-two, which in my oppinion is great, it's different to all those other multiplayers around, COD4, Halo 3 and Gears of War, the multiplayer doesn't deviate from the two-man mentality of the campaign. It's all about the money! Overall this game has fulfilled most if not all my expectations: with easy to use controls featuring the best bits from Gears, plus a lovely little baseball-style slide into cover, lovably-cartoony graphics and an RPG element of 'weapon-pimping' there is very little in this game any man wouldn't love, with the addition of Aggro also makes it an intelligent game as well as bodybuilder-aggressive. I highly recommend this- based entirely on the campaign.
Wow what a co-op game March 25, 2008 Butters (London) I played this and had great fun with my younger brother. It's def a game for co-op online or with someone else, but as a single player game, don't get it, there are plenty of other good shooters out there that are single players. I liked the fact that you had to earn money to get more powerful weapons, though when I completed it with my brother on easy, all the primary weapons were unlocked, which drove the fun away when playing on the normal setting. I hope that this doesn't happen when we complete the normal setting and we get all the secondary weapons and so forth. Anyways, great game and a joy to play with others.
