A perfect match March 28, 2007 Marty Mouse (Warrington, England) 30 out of 30 found this review helpful
I cannot imagine that the PS3 looks as good without a vertical stand and this stand is impressive. The sharp blue lights around the base reflect off the shiny surface and set it off a treat. Probably one of the best value accessories for your PS3.
Essential add-on April 23, 2007 Sonickev (UK) 40 out of 41 found this review helpful
For anyone that wants to stand their PS3 on its side, this is probably an essential add-on. If you are going to pay over 400 pounds for your console and do not have a safe place to stand it, then this makes the ps3 resist all but the heaviest of knocks. The Blue lighting definitely enhances the PS3's looks, but can be switched off if you are sitting down to watch a movie. The light is also a reminder that you have left your PS3 switched on because the light goes out when the PS3 is switched off. Lastly, it should be made clear that although this base offers 2 USB ports, it also uses one USB port from the PS3 to provide power and USB service, so you only gain one port, not two, but an extra port is still a useful addition.
A nice (although technically pointless) piece of kit for your PS3 October 19, 2007 Glenn Belt (Leeds, UK) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I say pointless because the shape of the PS3 makes it very sturdy when stood vertical. However this jazzes the whole think up nicely and the black plastic perfectly matches the outer shell of the PS3. The Blue LEDs are a nice touch and don't look tacky at all, nor are they too bright. They can also be switched off via a toggle at the front. All in all its a nice addition to the console, other reviewers are correct in that the additional USB slots are technically cut down to 1 as you have to plug this into one of the existing ports as it is, however I like this as the new USB slots are at the BACK, so you can have your charger leads plugged in there instead so they don't trail around the front. The review by user "jaguda1" is incorrect as the unit comes with a permanently attached USB lead that is mounted beneath it, which has to be detached from its housing and plugged into the front of the PS3. Thus it is impossible to receive one of these without the lead as stated.
Perfect as well!!!!!!!!! April 27, 2007 K. M. Tang (London) 23 out of 25 found this review helpful
This product is definately worth the money. I own a PS3 and when I received it, I had to have it vertical as there was no place in my TV cabinet and it took up to much space horizontal. I saw a cheaper stand in HMV and Game but they seem to be cheap and plasticy?? But this product looks cool and if you are going to have it vertical this is what you need as it makes it the Ps3 very very stable and the airflow is better as the air vents are at the top . I totally agree with the reviewers below. A must buy if you have your PS3 vertical.
Perfect Compliment March 30, 2007 Nish (Hertfordshire, England) 22 out of 25 found this review helpful
I bought this after I was a little anxious about the possibility of my dog's tail wagging frenzies causing my ps3 to topple over in it's home on the floor next to the tv. This stand is great, increasing the base width making it more sturdy. However, unlike the naff looking moulded plastic that seems to be around, this little beauty has curves in all the right places, complementing the pupil dialating shape of the ps3. and with the blue led light (which you can switch off if they irritate you, though I can't see how), this stand looks like it's part of the ps3's body. The usb hub proves nice ,with the extra 2 ports hidden at the back, so teamed up with the controller charger, you can hide away the cables that you might find getting hooked up and enjoy the view whilst thinking about how all those 360 and Wii users are missing out...
