Very usefull February 4, 2008 S. Calvert (UK) 23 out of 24 found this review helpful
This docking station give a tidy place to store your controllers. Plus charges the controllers when the PS3 is switched on. This works fine for me, as one controller can be charged when playing 1 player games. ie one controler is left in the docking station. Also I have the bluetooth remote control, so when watching films or downloading demos etc. both controllers are kept topped up. As for comments about the flashing lights, well this is optional. Simply press the button on the docking station and they can be on or off, but the controllers still charge in either state... Another advantage is this is a tidy solution, so the wire can be hidden permanently and just have the docking station available for storing and charging the controllers. Rather than having a loose USB cable and no where tidy to place the controllers when charging.. Finally this station means two controllers get charged off one USB port, so if like me, you have a 40Gb PS3 and you only have 2 USB ports, this is great.
Best buy out there! July 9, 2008 M. Boldra (Norfolk England) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
This is certainly worth buying if you have a ouple of controllers, it keeps them charged at all times and keeps them neat and tidy instead of thrown all over the living room and tucked behind sofas. I have plugged mine into my V+ box and they sit nicely beside it, I believe some freeview boxes and SKY + boxes have a USB port on the back so if like me you have 40gb PS3 then you don't need to use any of those ports. Overall I would say buy it.
Just to clarify December 30, 2007 sam palmer (london) 10 out of 11 found this review helpful
Just to clarify a previous reveiwer stated that the lights don't light up on the controller it self when connected to a usb plug charger. This is because they onlylight up when they are connected to a ps3. However they still ae charging. dont be put off buying
Nice little stand August 27, 2008 Graham Bruce (Cambs, UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This dock allows me to store and charge both controllers. I sit it behind my console so it's out the way and the lights don't bother me (You can switch them off there's a button as other's have said) Keeps both of the controlers nice and safe unlike my old PS2's which seemed to leave cables everywere. worth the money.
Neat Unit June 19, 2008 S. Ramsey 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this so we could charge 2 controllers whilst sitting at the computer - not as most people here have done ie plugged into the PS3. As the computer is on more than the PS3 it seemed more sensible to use it's power. The unit is small and compact and works well. I've had no problems charging from the PC. As soon as the controllers are fully charged I remove them from the dock and pop it away. It only takes about an hour and a half to charge two which is great. Also it means I don't have to have the silly short-length usb wire that came with the PS3 in the way. Definitely good value for money if you buy with something else and get free delivery.
