Component does give a far superior picture. You must ensure to select the correct settings in the wii menu and then the same on your TV.
As the wii doesn't do HD the most benefit will come from the progressive scan - this will prevent nasty interlaced edges on fast moving objects. As was mentioned by another reviewer, pixelation can increase - because the the picture is sharper you don't get the blurry effect to smooth edges.
The cable is well worth it if you have a decent sized and capable TV.

A must if you own any tv that supports componant, to get the best graphics out of the wii. A previous reviewer stated he didnt notice any difference, but in order to see the differences you must edit the setting on the wii itself to output 480p, maybe he did not do this, because the difference is definately noticable when you do.

Trust me this cable is the shizzle forget the official RGB Cable they're only good if your TV doesn't support progressive scan. Even the cube games look amazing i'd recommend tryin out Smash bros melee and Resi 4 they never looked so good. Overall this cable serves the Wii amazingly if you have a hdtv please don't hesitate to buy one of these you won't be disappointed.

If you have a HDTV buy these. The improvement in picture quality covers all aspects of the Wii not just games.
I use the Internet channel a lot and text is crystal clear ;-]
