Burton(UK) If you own a Wii and have not yet bought a component cable then you should seriously consider getting one. The standard Wii package only includes a SCART connection and in layman's terms that means a poor picture quality that is blurry edged and vague. You would not believe the improvement a component cable gives - I'd honestly go as far as to say that it's a real shame Nintendo don't give a component cable as standard.
By upgrading the connection with a component cable you get crisp edged graphics that are clear and much much better on the eye. I would say the quality is two or threefold improved. It has to be seen to be believed - similar to changing from a VHS video to a DVD!
You can check your TV is compatible by seeing if the back of the TV has a row of red green and blue sockets (for the picture signal), with 2 audio sockets (red and white) to accompany them.
This is one of the best purchases you can choose for a Wii system. The Joytech quality is very good and the cable is very long (the one I got was 3m) which gives good flexibility on the positioning of the Wii. Just as good as the official cable.
