Amazon.co.uk Review
In a nutshell:
Agent 47 is back in the game that finally does full justice to the Hitman concept, with huge improvements to the graphics, controls and, most importantly, the number of ways for you to plan your hits - from wading in guns blazing to making it all look like a simple accident.

The lowdown:
Although the Hitman games were always a great idea they never quite worked the way you expected, with an awkward control system and camera and far less freedom than it at first seemed. This latest sequel solves almost all these problems, starting with a standard third person camera over which you have full control. Although you can ask for hints on how to carry out a hit you've so many options the game's almost like a macabre graphic adventure - do you use the remote detonated bomb on the chandelier winch in the ballroom or plug the secretary's Coke with poison and hide in the cupboard? The new notoriety system seems a bit pointless but otherwise this gets almost everything right.

Most exciting moment:
The game features tons of new additions like grabbing human shields, a quick draw for your gun and the ability to hide bodies. The most fun though is the simple sounding push option, which allows you to sneak up behind someone and send them flying off a balcony by "accident".

Since you ask:
Blood Money includes various references to previous Hitman games, the most prominent being the Paris mission in an Opera house, which acts as a prequel to Hitman: Contracts.

The bottom line:
The best Hitman game yet, that makes a real effort to fix the flaws of the previous games.

5 out of 5 stars The Best Yet!   August 10, 2006

I own the entire Hitman series, and when this latest instalment arrived I was expecting more of the same dark, rainy graphics that you get in Hitman: Contracts. But this game is awesome, the graphics are absolutly stunning, the new interface cuts out the endless scrolling down lists of actions to perform, and the new weapons upgrade shop brings a whole new aspect to the mind of Agent 47 as you pick the weapons and upgrades suitable for the mission. This is an absolute must by for any Hitman fan, or just anyone looking for some fun, as you do have the option of going for the phycopath rating and just gunning your way through any mission! Every mission has about 20 solutions, making this a game you can play over and over again!

Having bought the last two of the Hitman series I had to take a look at this game.

This game is pretty much more of the same. It has some new features in the form of controls and weapons/equipment. The levels are really well thought out which makes this game so much fun. Usually there are many ways to fullfil the goal from outright slaughtering everybody to spending lots of time just watching and planning the next move.

I have completed the game in just a few days. Even so I know will be playing this again to try completing the objectives in different ways.

A must buy.

Every Hitman game i've bought i've not been disapointed and this one again delivers.

Again the Gameplay is incredible, each level offering a compeltely different approach with different upgradeable weapons offering an rpg dimention to the gameplay. This game is easy to play, but definitely very hard to master

I have not really been a fan of the Hitman series, because the controls have always been a bit querky, and difficult to master at times. He has also been difficult to control properly - when compared to the likes of Splinter Cell... However, they have produced a much more fluid game this time, as enjoyable as the Splinter Cell gameplay - Just get the demo, you will be converted in no time. The sound in the game is awesome, but be prepared for some bad language!

5 out of 5 stars The Most Perfect Game   May 21, 2006
Hitman 47 (Hideout)

This game is, in my impression, the greatest game. The first thing you notice is that it wants you to play your way, which is syumbolised by the weapons you use: there are 5 main weapons which can be customized in lots of different ways :pistol, Shotgun, Smg, m4 and sniper.

It has great graphics that do not even lag on my quite old computer, it can be played in ANY style: for the first three missions i spent on average 4 hours each, planning and executeting my every move. Then for the next mission i was fed up so i did it my own way, the John Wayne way, which is so much better with things like using human shields and hiding your pistol behind your back as you walk up to your prey.

Every mission has a load of different ways of completeting in any style. The plot, does actually pull you in, and there are cutscenes before and after each mission.

My only complaint is the hideout. Players of the previous games will know that between missions, you will be able to go to 47s secret area where he keeps all his 100's of weapons. Here you try out all of them, but not in a training mission like in contracts.

If you have been a fan of the series, like me, you MUST get this game, while casual gamers beware, you will be sucked in.
