5 out of 5 stars Great!   November 23, 2007

I really like this game, its much better than 2007! the layout is much better, the game is so simple to navigate around, the transfers are more realistic. But the only thing is...its not a major thing, but if you try to buy a superstar player like Ronaldinho it will say he is worth 36 million, but it will cost you something like 60 million to actually buy him! But over all this game is very very good and for the price you cant go wrong! The match day layout is better, the tactics are great and prozone is much much better! the indepth info you get from it is really good. For example it will tell you how the goal was set-up and everything! But overall this game is very addictive and is very good!

5 out of 5 stars Football Manager? My ****   January 4, 2008

This game is far superior to Football Manager 2008-I have both, so there is no bias at all. It is superior in every single aspect and I cannot believe that FM 08 is constantly being touted as the best option. It is ridiculous.

Excellent game, right up to its usual standard!!! Been playing the demo for the past 3 weeks and now i need the real thing!! The only drawback being, where you have the facility to talk to an unhappy player, there isn't the option to reassure the player that they were rested rather than dropped.

4 out of 5 stars A good game but there are better games out there   July 12, 2008

I have the demo and i thought it was quite good but then i got the fifa manager 08 demo and even without all its best features its a superioir game. Fifa m 08 has more tactical things to do and you can have more power over the club, download the demo of both games before you buy this

This game franchise is fast becomming redundant, I have to admit that my laptop might not be as powerful as newer pc out there but the football manager 2008 game runs smoothly and gives you much better game. In this game I have found it nearly impossible to buy anyone from overseas and get a work permit, you cannot see the game played on screen like other games you cannot customise the training timetables, the game plods from on day to another and sometimes takes forever. I managed to do a whole weekends worth of washing up before I got from tuesday 08:00 to weds 08:00. Without some of the changes made to the game like there have been made to FM '08 like the different scouting network, and with the option of a feeder clubs, the game feels very dated only with some nuances here and there. Stick with Football Manager 2008 as this game feels like going to dinner and dancing with Raquel Welch when you were promised Angelina Jolie.
