5 out of 5 stars Best Scrabble game yet.   November 3, 2007

This is my third PC Scrabble game and absolutely the best yet. The "mentor" facility offers the opportunity to improve your game and there is also the more competitive tournament room, where you play virtual opponents without the help of your mentor!
I've found everything very easy to use and have not had any issues moving or seeing my tiles ( see previous review). There is a shuffle option for the letters and, once you place a word, the game will work out the score for you, saving your brainpower for words!
My initial impression is very impressed! I will update here once I have played more.
Update 30th Nov. I have had one issue - adjourning tournament games. Tournaments can involve playing many games and can't be done at one sitting, so adjournment is essential. The instruction booklet gives incorrect information. I found out by chance how to adjourn while playing a tournament, so it can definitely be done. Adjourning form the page which gives current status of tournament does not seem to be possible, despite what page 13 of booklet says. I always have to start a tournament game and play one word before adjourning. Otherwise I would end the tournament and would be considered to have lost the unplayed games, thus affecting my ranking!! It took Ubisoft Support 22 days to tell me how to adjourn during a tournament. They have chosen to ignore the issue re instructions on page 13!
Since using this game, my Scrabble skills have greatly improved. During my last real Scrabble game I played 4 7-letter words!! A feat I am never likely to repeat, I suspect...
Other than this one issue, I have been delighted with the game and highly recommend it.

4 out of 5 stars Can't find the problems mentioned...........   April 4, 2008

I recently purchased the new version of Scrabble 2007 and the game is as good as version 2005 and better. There is no problem in moving the word one has formed onto the board and very cleverly the letters will separate so that the placement allows for a letter already on board to be inserted just where it is needed. Choosing a partner from the profiles listed is easy and with all the various helps the game is suitable for the very experienced or beginners, as well as those in between. Whats your problems folks?

I love the game . Ive had no technical probs with it. I only tend to play the normal game rather than anagram practice and the like.
My only complaint is i seem to always start off with crappy letters that dont go together whereas the computer opponents manage to churn out seven letter words right from the start, and only occasionally have to swap letters or miss a go.
I've won a couple of times because one of the clever opponents seems to have a bad patch - don't know if this is programmed in? But I like it.
