Product Description PROTECT YOUR GARDEN HABITAT: There are 9 million cats in the UK. The mammal society says cats kill around 275 million prey items a year, including 55 million birds. Voles and other small mammals make up much of the remainder. The Sonic Cat Repeller will help protect your garden habitat and encourage wildlife and birds back into it.

Worked 100% October 26, 2007 D. Robinson 31 out of 32 found this review helpful
after spending 65 on various sprays, powders and even lion poo from the zoo I wish Id bought this first. Worked out of the box. After 4 months of cats leaving deposits in the garden they no longer come near it. I watched for about 25 minutes before the first cat dared to invade and I can tell you, its the first time I have seen a cat do a vertical take off from a standing start, only wish i could of videoed it for you-tube. One problem my neighbours keep popping round to borrow it!
At last a deterrent .(yahoo !!!!!!!) October 29, 2007 bay bear (dunfermline, fife United Kingdom) 31 out of 32 found this review helpful
I'll keep this short and sweet. These work great at keeping cats away, and cause them no harm.Especially when they stay out of my garden. Not only did I have them doing their dirt in my garden. They would also just wander into my house if I opened the door to let some air in. Even if I was sitting watching tv.Then give me a dirty look when I chased them out.10 out of 10 for these repellers.A tip is to buy rechargable batteries.(bye bye pussycats!) Just a little add on to the above after couple of weeks use to let any potential buyer know that there are a few dissapointed cats in my area now.Its really turned into a no go zone for them. And contrary to what a couple of people who shouldnt have been allowed to review these would have you think... the cats that have come near are still alive, and so are my kids.Strange eh!
These work and we are now kitting out the back garden September 3, 2007 Wiss (UK) 26 out of 27 found this review helpful
Had one in the front garden for a while and it's worked. No more buried treasures to find when weeding and none left scenting the air, because the cats lost the art of the burial method. On to the back garden now and maybe, just maybe, the wild birds (that we enjoy) will come back and not be scared off/attacked (new neighbour, multiple cats, get the picture). Hey, maybe we'll not have to worry about visiting kids finding smelly presents when playing. BTW: I've heard of considerate cat owners, providing cat toilets in their own gardens and that they work if the cat's trained to it, but that seems a rare type of owner. Sadly, most prefer to have their loves go anywhere else, seeing as it's 'only natural'. Maybe they'd say that a child catching toxoplasmosis or Toxocariasis, is also 'only natural' and a price everyone should be willing to pay, so that they can have cats AND demand that they be free to roam in other peoples gardens. I think NOT!
I've got my garden and my life back! March 27, 2008 Ange (Birmingham, UK) 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
I've worked hard to afford MY house with MY garden so I can grow MY own vegetable and plants but have had years of distress fending off OTHER peoples cats fouling around my property. Being partially disabled, I can't do many activities so pottering around my garden is very important to me, both mentally and physically. But the constant stream of cat poo was driving me insane - with numerous neighbours pet cats plus ferral ones breeding furiously in the nearby parkland (irrisponsable cat owners failing to get their pets neutered - that's another story!) they used my garden as a litter tray regardless of all the repellents and guards I spents hundreds of pounds on. They wouldn't even 'dig it in' but left it lying for all to find, on plants, on the lawn, on the patio....even on the chicken wire I'd covered my vegatable seedlings with. But the last straw was walking out to witness a cat squatting off the edge of my shed roof, defecating down onto the ground below! In the summer it stank, on dark nights you had to take a torch out in case you trod in one of their 'little presents' - my visiting young relatives wouldn't play out in the garden and in the end I gave up growing veggies all together - much of the poo is riddled with mites/worms of some sort I just couldn't risk the health implications. My partner and I were spending more time clearing up cat mess than gardening and becoming obsessed with chasing off the moggies lining up to taunt us with their eyes screaming 'come and have a go if you think your quick enough' (which I clearly am not seeings as I walk with a stick!). Cats, even though we don't own one, were ruling, and ruining our lives! Now I'm actually an animal lover, I have pets and am responsible for looking after and cleaning up after them...I do this no probs, but having to clean up after others pets was doing me in! WHY? why should MY quality of life be ruined so? I'd read about these sonic repellents a while ago but was not keen to buy one, I actually worried it would cause harm to animals - no one really knows if this is true...never found reports or tests to confirm they were safe, BUT I was now at the end of my tether, a shadow of my former self and sanity and my health was now more important - on one partic bad day I shocked myself by admitting that if I'd had an air rifle I would have used it on them...this actually reduced me to tears as I was so disgusted with myself for thinking such things - I'D NEVER HURT AN ANIMAL IN MY LIFE...but this was how bad it was getting to me....so THIS HAD TO BE DONE! I brought one.... ....and OH MY!- my life has changed dramatically! WOW! within the one day of fitting it - NO CAT POO! and none since! I can't believe how well it works. The cats we were up against knew no boundaries and would overcome anything to foul on my land....but this has stopped them in their tracks...and seen them fleeing for the hills! Despite the recent bad weather, I now can't stop going out into my garden and gazing around in amazement - it's so clean! and I'm now busy growing my veggies once more and my young neice and nephew are happy to help plant them out too....something they've never desired, or been allowed to do for fear of getting covered in the wrong sort of brown stuff! Can't wait for the summer when the only aroma I'll be smelling is that of the flowers! And mowing the lawn will actually be a pleasent job - no more hours sifting around for poo, or finding you've missed some and then distributing it around the garden with the flymo like a muck spreader! I'm sure others out there are suffering as I did so I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT...don't hesitate like I did....GO BUY ONE NOW....I wish I'd got one years ago. TIPS - definately recommend you use rechargeble batteries. And my niece and nephew can hear the noise it makes and find it quite painful to the ears - so if you have kids around and you're in the garden - TURN IT OFF....just don't forget to switch it back on afterwards!
