Personally the Art Neuvou Style employed here realy brings out the escence of any garden plants that you may wish to employ in the filling of your garden. From alpine to Woodland plants the plastic finish will shine and the plants will live out their lives in the full surroundings of this quality miniture Greenhouse. And in an ironic gesture dating back to the normans, the outer framework of this masterpiece is coated in a delicious fir green colour to give this work of art a setting it can stand up to, which realy makes THIS greenhouse live up to it's name. Another quality product from a company that prides itself on the best.
Watch them grow... December 13, 2006 DangermouseZilla (Doncaster, Yorkshire, UK.) 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
I borrowed one of these from my in-laws, and it worked very well for me. I started my seedlings off in here and kept some peppers in. I also grew some lettuces out of season. It's only small so you won't be able to keep a jungle in there. I have read that people have had problems with the plastic ripping. The plastic on mine is (so far) unscathed and the zips are still firmly attached. If you can't afford a glass greenhouse, or don't have room, then this is perfect. The metal shelves and frame make this quite sturdy, the only problems I can find are: *No ventilation cover to open. In summer when it's red hot, to keep the greenhouse from overheating you have to unzip the door, an zippable panel at the top would be better. *It blows over easy if there's not much weight in it. Overall though - this has been a great addition to my garden, easy to put up and put away. If my plastic rips then I'll update my 4 star rating on this review, but so far I'm very happy with it.
Gardening with a Great little Greenhouse. April 13, 2005 30 out of 33 found this review helpful
I have a Gardman 4 tier Mini Greenhouse which I find very useful at this time of year, when I can put in it young plants to harden off, thereby restoring my window cills to their proper function! Unfortunately the zip broke within weeks of having this greenhouse and I had not been rough with the zipping of the cover in any way - that was disappointing. I have found the greenhouse to hold a reasonable quantity of plants- sufficient for my needs and especially useful this year as I have been able to purchase a fleece cover which fits extremely well and relieves any concerns I have had with regard to frost protection. This is a brilliant idea and I would like to be able to buy an all covering fleece for the two tier greenhouse as well. Is this available? These greenhouses would be ideal for use in school as there is nothing which could harm the children. I help in a Junior school with their school garden and one of these greenhouses would be a super help. Well done Gardman.
Good but... April 21, 2007 Ms. Catherine Prescott (Carlisle) 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
In theory this is a great pruduct and works well as an alternative to a glass greenhouse. It is very easy to put together but make sure that you put plenty heavy plants etc on the bottom row as it is quite flimsy and could blow over in the wind. I would recommend that if you buy this greenhouse, you buy an extra plastic cover for it. I've had my greenhouse for about a month and the plastic has come away from the zip, leaving a hole in it. The plastic covers are cheap enough to replace so it isn't a problem, but as this seems to be a common problem, be prepared!
