Great machine December 1, 2006 Ms. Mary White (England) 46 out of 46 found this review helpful
Whenever I use coffee beans they go stale and lose their flavour before I use it all.I bought this with expectations of a machine that would probably not produce much flavour but would be quick and useful and I was impressed with the demonstration that I saw in store. It looks funky and seemd easy to use. It didn't disappoint- it is a great system. The coffee is hot, flavoursome and it is so easy and quick to use. Excellent cappucinos especially. I would definitely recommend it.
Dolce Gusto perfecto! March 29, 2007 Brian (Dorset UK) 15 out of 15 found this review helpful
Well I think you can tell by the previous reviews, the Dolce Gusto is a fantastic machine. To start with the Dolce Gusto looks superb, I have the black one and it really looks good in my home office. It's about the size of a football, with a head on the front that looks similar to the professional coffee machines. I was surprised how small and compact it was, you really can fit this in the smallest of places. It produces great coffee in seconds and it really does taste as good as Costa's and Starbucks etc... The coffee has great flavour, good strength, pure coffee taste and no bitterness. Making a coffee is quick too. Fill the water tank with tap water (although I do use bottled). Switch on the machine, within about 20 secs the machine has warmed up and is ready to use. Put a pod in the holder and insert into machine, move the switch to red and fill your cup or glass. Once you have filled your cup, turn off the flow and discard old pod. That's about all there is to it! You can leave the machine on if you want and this means you don't have to wait the extra 20 secs to warm up, great in an office or home situation. You can fill a fairly large mug with all the coffees apart from the espresso. For the Latte and cappuccino you use 2 pods, the first being the milk and the second the coffee. The machine does not automatically stop pouring; you have to stop it manually. This may seem like a drawback, but trust me it's not. In fact, it has to be one of the best features of the machine, as it allows you to fill any size cup or mug of your choice. It also allows you to adjust the strength of the coffee, by adding or reducing the milk/coffee ratio. The pods are vacuum sealed which keeps the coffee very fresh and they are easy to find in all large supermarkets, so far I have had no problem locating them. In conclusion: A quick and clean way to produce fantastic coffee. Great for use in home or office. Varible size and strength of coffee. Really does taste as good as the shops. Cheap to buy (got mine for 60) but even at 89 still a good buy). Solid build quality and looks superb. I have just added this part of the review. I was out buying some more pods today and I came across the new chocolate (chocochino) pods that have just been released for the Dolce Gusto. I must say the chocolate tastes great too!
A huge success & great value! June 23, 2007 Armchair Hero (London, UK) 15 out of 15 found this review helpful
I bought this machine on the strength of the many other excellent reviews from customers clearly much more expert than me about coffee machines. I am adding this review to say that if you're like me (i.e. a complete idiot in the kitchen), but want superb coffee, instantly with no hassle or effort, this is the machine for you. If I can work it, anyone can! All the coffee pod selections are delicious namely cappucino, espresso, lunghi (double espresso), latte, Chococino (hot chocolate). Unlike many rival machines, the coffee emerges piping hot and the pods are easily available from supermarkets. It even can do cold drinks such as Cappucino Ice, which is coming soon. Also, it's so easy to use and clean. If you've been confused & somewhat depressed by very mixed reports on other machines, go for this without hesitation. It comes ready to go out of the box with a starter pack with cheaper, better drinks than coffee bars in your own home! Best money I've spent in a long time. PS I'm not sure if this says more about me than is wise but the machine passes what an old pal of mine used to call the 'hangover test' with flying colours: i.e. you can stagger into the kitchen at an ungodly hour and with bleary eyes & shaky hands, make professionally delicious & reviving coffee in seconds!
Will NOT disappoint! May 6, 2007 JaffaCake (London, UK) 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
If you've read these reviews and you're STILL undecided as to whether you should buy this amazing machine, then, quite frankly, you need your head examined! Simply put, it is the best [...] you'll (I'll) ever spend! I was an occasional coffee drinker before, but now I have several cups of latte's and cappuccino's a day. Some of you may think that that's not much, but I am fighting a new found addiction here! Other's have explained how quick and easy it is to operate, and all I'll say is that they weren't lying. You have to see it to believe it. I'm eagerly anticipating any new flavours and cold drinks NescafA come out with. If they're anything like the Latte and Cappuccino (my two favourite pods), then God help me... I'll probably end up sleeping with my eyes open! The NescafA Dolce Gusto is a fantastic machine which makes dreamy-tasting drinks with great speed and ease. You will not regret this purchase.
This machine will not disappoint. January 26, 2007 Mrs. P. Sharpe (North Lincs England) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
Absolutely thrilled with this machine. So easy to use, the coffee is as good as any I have purchased in a Coffee Shop. Everyone who I have given a cup to remarks on the flavour, and how hot it is. The beauty of this machine for me is that at last I can have a decent cup of coffee, and no longer have to rely on instant or make a pot full which invariably goes to waste as it stews on the hot plate. If you are looking for a product that does exactly what it says on the box, looks good in the kitchen, then this machine will not disappoint.
