5 out of 5 stars Good value for money   March 5, 2004

A great idea for a cup of tea before getting out of bed! I found it best to use bottled water, this avoids any nasty tastes. It does need to be on a very level surface for the cups to fill up evenly but once level there's no problem. Have only used it for tea and am very pleased with it. It seems to fill the cups up within a couple of minutes which gives you just enough time to wake up before your morning cuppa.

5 out of 5 stars No Hassle Coffee Maker   March 31, 2006

The machine is as simple to use as any standard coffee maker but with additional benefits:
1. You don't waste coffee and water trying to guess the amount you want to drink.
2. The coffee doesn't "stew" on the hob - you make it in your cup and take it away. You get a big cupful that lasts for ages and stays hot for a good 15-20 mins
3. It doesn't take up much space on your worktop ... for families like mine where only one person drinks coffee its a pain to take up loads of space with a full size coffee maker. This one is no bigger perhaps than a mid size toaster.
4. You don't have to fiddle around with filter papers - this one comes with a mesh filter already in place.

I'm just coming back for my second machine now for my Mum and Dad!

Just Added the the ground coffee, the water and switched on.
I was amazed how quickly it started putitng the coffee into the cups, a lot quicker than I expected.

The taste is excellant, I used Lyons Original Smooth medium roast coffee (£1.89 from asda).

It is exactly like the proper coffee at Restaurants.

It is so simple to use and the results are great. Also the flask type cups keep the drink warm unlike some where the coffee is cold by the time all the water has finished pouring in.

Very impressed.

after reading reviews i went for this coffee / tea maker. i have so far only made tea as i have a coffee machine already, so rather than spoil the taste i have kept them seperate. i wanted something i could make tea in easily in the morning, you just fill the supplied cup up with water and pour into the machine, place a teabag in the holder, place cup underneath and press the button. its really great, does everything then turns off, u can even take the supplied mugs with u and they are travel ones.

For the price it has to be well worth it.

Get your venti (or whatever 400ml of coffee in a thermos cup to go are called at your place) skinny macchiato with a twist of limon anytime.
The spill-proof lids on the two thermos cups - eh - buckets are the only thing that could be done a bit better, but for that price...
A two person coffee maker that dribbles (it takes a little while to fill the mugs) directly into insulated mugs (included) and switches off on its own. Plastic filter included, easy to use, put water in, add coffee, press button, enjoy!
Suggest using decaff though unless your heart can do 16 hours of 120 bpm. Addiction guaranteed.
