Gaggia Cubika Superb Performance Superb Price December 23, 2003 50 out of 51 found this review helpful
I went out today and bought my Cubika. After the initial set up and priming of the pump I then tried my first espresso. I'm pleased to report that this product is fantastic at any price. This is my first proper espresso/capuccino machine and for 125 you get a great make and great results, (Gaggia is the most bought espresso machine in Italy) and they know a thing or two about coffee. The machine weighs in at a solid 5.3Kg, and looks the business in brushed steel. Operation is a doddle and all the parts slot together precisely and easily. The espresso is produced with superb crema and milk frothing is easy with the 'Turbo frother'. This is an excellent product and I would advise anybody out there looking to upgrade or invest in an espresso maker to go with the Gaggia.
Love it! September 5, 2006 Hilary Little 19 out of 19 found this review helpful
I was bought my machine as a Christmas present in 2005 and it's been in use practically every day since. I've had no issues with performance or quality - the only problem is the number of visitors wanting a cup of coffee at my house! Based on the Cubika I would buy another Gaggia machine without any hesitation whatsoever.
Excellent coffee with style December 18, 2006 Richard Hamer (Edinburgh, Scotland) 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
Have used this daily since buying it in Jan 06 without any problems. Found making froth slightly challenging at the start but got used to it. A perfect cup is produced every time now. Only issue I have is the 'ready to go' light which suggests its ready to make coffee almost immediately. In reality it'll be a bit cold (definitely not good) if you go by the light - just leave it for 5 mins to get a great cup of espresso.
Perfect basic machine November 2, 2005 14 out of 15 found this review helpful
This is a good looking machine, which is affordable and reliable. If you want fancy extras, it's not for you, but if you want a perfect cup of coffee, you're in business. It heats up quickly, works smoothly, has a good size water compartment, and of course the essential 15 bar pressure for the ultimate espresso. If you want a perfect espresso / cappucino in a goodlooking package for an affordable price, get one of these ASAP. If you want something which plays tunes, flashes lights, grinds beans, and has any other combination of talents which are unnecessary for the perfect coffee, then your money is well wasted elsewhere.
