Great espresso machine March 16, 2006 soothiechins (Surrey, UK) 18 out of 18 found this review helpful
I didn't expected to be the first to write a review for this product, as the machine was around the market for some time now. The M100 Nespresso machine from Magimix does truly its job for the normal coffee drinker. even if the model is a manual one, the quality and taste of the resulting coffee is exquisite! Simple to operate - one on/off button to heat the water - which is very quick and another push button to fill you favourite blend of espresso coffee from the tiny colourful capsules (sold separately directly from Nespresso) of various strengths and aromas. The package actually contains a selection of the Nespresso aromas by supplying one pod of each type of coffee in the range. Being a manual machine, the only downsize is that you need to hold the coffee filling button until you reach your desired coffee level for your cup or mug. Very simple and effective.
Great tasting coffee, quickly, without the coffee grounds September 24, 2007 Mark Charlton (London) 12 out of 13 found this review helpful
I bought this coffee maker after trying a cup of nespresso at a friends. I love fresh coffee, but being the lazy male that I am, can't be bothered with the clearing up; this is a great solution, producing, in my opinion, great tasting coffee everytime. The machine is very easy to use, turn machine on, place cup on drip tray, insert coffee cartridge, once green button stops flashing (30 secs after machine on), press it once, until it dispenses enough coffee to suit your taste, press green button again, eject used cartridge, turn machine off. Job done! Cleaning involves removing the drip tray, cleaning it as often as you feel comfortable (daily/weekly?!) and disposing of used cartridges. Nespresso provide a fantastic variety of different coffees (inc. several good tasting decaf varieties). The cost is 23p a cartridge - you need to judge for yourself whether that is too expensive or not. I'm happy with my purchase.
Brilliant results every time August 11, 2008 A. E. Rowe (Norwich) I have this machine and a Francis Francis one, and the Magimix makes a brilliant coffee with no fuss, every time. For the money, it is a great little gizmo to have in the kitchen. Highly recommended!
Perfect but expensive coffee April 14, 2007 Keep it simple (UK) 13 out of 14 found this review helpful
I bought this item to replace the regular Gaggia espresso machine in my holiday home. As an irregular visitor I was so fed up either throwing away unused pre-ground coffee or having poor quality drinks. I have a perfect Gagggia Synchrony bean-to-cup machine at home that provides wonderful coffee at an economical cost. This Nespresso machine provides as good quality but at a greater cost per cup. Therefore if you are a 2 cup a day person this is perfect and economic. If like me you enjoy 5 + cups a day then there are more economic means of doing so. The quality, design and purchase price ( with the 40 money off coupon ) are 5 star. The problem is the price per cup compared to the fresh gound alternatives. I would correct the previous poster on a small detail. The flow switch is on/off and therefore although flow volume is manual you do not have to hold the flow switch during brewing.
