Product Description
Completely revolutionary, the NiMH USB batteries from USBCELL are charged directly on the USB port of your computer. There's no need for additional cables and your batteries will be fully recharged in just a few minutes. This pack is the ideal solution for all your appliances operating on an internal battery.

Great application of the USB. I use the batteries in my wireless keyboard. When they run down you just whack 'em in the usb slots. Saves a fortune on Duracell. Unlike other usb batteries the usb is actually part of the battery rather than having to attach them to a dongle. A clever idea well executed.

5 out of 5 stars Brilliant bit of kit   December 30, 2008

I love these batteries, I use them in just about everything. I bought mine a little while ago whilst trying to be a little more eco-friendly. The only thing I can't use them in is my digital camera, because they die after about 3 shots, so these may not be for you if that's what you're after them for...They are a good introduction into rechargables because you do not need a dedicated charger for them. Most people have a USB port somewhere in our homes, and as the PC/games console is already turned on, recharging these babies is essentially free energy!

I like the way that, unlike other USB batteries, the tip of the battery is actually attached to the rest on a bit of elastic. This means you can't lose it! (If you were to loose the top, the battery would be useless). Very stylish too. 5 out of 5 from me.

Have them in my Wiimote and charge them in the back of the Wii, must have saved the cost of the batteries many times over. Its good to be able to charge either by USB or mains charger, worth getting.

Admittedly, I bought these batteries to go into my Xbox 360 Elite pad as I do have a charger but thought that I could use these for my 2nd pad. Recieved them not too long ago & they don't seem to fit into the battery pack as well as they should. I have 4 individual cuts on my hands from trying to get them out the battery pack which took about literally 20 mins, I do hope they'll become much easier to get out as time goes by. But I have problems understanding why they fit more snugly than they really should.

Update: Got the batteries to come out (slightly) easier. However, one of them takes ages to recharge once I started charging it at 2 in the afternoon & it finished at about 12.30 at night! Bearing in mind my adaptor takes about 4-6 hours that's terrible. Not to mention they lasted nowhere near as long as my rechargeable power pack for my 360 controller lasted, so it deserves to lose a star for that. All in all, a nice try but I should have really bought another rechargable pack with a cumbersome adapter, but at least that doesn't take nearly anywhere near as long as getting out these batteries does.
