The One To Choose! October 4, 2007 Mrs. A. Curtis (Oxford, England) 52 out of 52 found this review helpful
I had one of these for Christmas 2006 and it is great! You use normal expresso powder from the supermarket - I use decaf but there are lots to choose from. You put the milk on to heat first (by the way if you stir drinking chocolate into the milk before frothing you can make a fab hot chocolate) and it takes 4-5 minutes to heat through. While it is heating you put the coffee powder in the chamber and put the water in the top part, then press Go on that part. Then you froth the milk using the frother button on the right hand side and by then the coffee is done. Pour coffee and hot milk then spoon on the froth - perfect! Washing up is fairly straightforward as it all comes apart quite easily. The only tiny snag I have noticed is that the milk from the frother drips and cooks on the hotplate below while you are pouring the hot milk out - a minor detail. All in all the froth is absolutely perfect and the machine is simple to use and produces a cappucino (expresso, latte, mocca-cino etc) which is easily as good if not better than a cafe-bought one - better in fact because you are in control both of the strength of the expresso and also the ratios of expresso to hot milk and froth which go in your cup. I have spent a fortune less on buying cappucino since Christmas! If you have space for this in your kitchen then I recommend you to go for this brand - I compared many different products before picking this one.

Who needs Starbucks? June 11, 2008 Robert Smith (North Wales) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Having just come back from a month in Spain and France drinking amazing espressos and cappuccinos I couldn't face a bland cup of instant , after a lot of deliberation I plumped for this machine. First it's easy to use, you plonk a bit of coffee in to the metal filter (doesn't need filters), fill the machine with water and switch on, out comes the coffee. You can set it from Strong to light coffee, perfect. Next pour milk in to the jug leave on the hot plate while the coffee is being brewed then press the frother button after about 30 seconds you have frothy milk, takes a little longer to warm the milk. My first coffee was good, a slight adjustment to the strength and the second was perfect. Build is very good, It is an excellent machine which seems amazingly cheap for what you get. Would I recommended? Yes, you won't find better at this price, it's probably better than some of the higher priced machines.
A Good machine for the Money January 26, 2008 G. Lightfoot (Chelmsford, Essex) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
In spite of previous reviews, we bought this coffee maker a couple of weeks ago and are really pleased with it. Yes, a lot of the machine is made from plastic but what do you expect for the money? If you read the instructions carefully and make sure that you place the coffee jug directly underneath where the coffee comes out it does not spit water everywhere. If you put the milk on before doing anything else, it is nicely heated and can be frothed when the coffee is ready. All in all a very nice cup of coffee, like the ones made in the shops and excellent value for money.
